Cuc's Cuc's geez oh pete wish you were closer! I looked at them last night and gave a glance this morning baby dills are hard to grow. Just got almost 2 qts and many are going to have to be cut up. Going to have to pick in the morning and set the alarm for around 1 AM. Man O Man! Sad thing to whine about huh? But while I was pickin it was still sprinkling with tunder then it started to rain and at first I paniced. But then I realized it was a nice warm rain. And it felt good on my back kinda like TO except without the bikini, but I had on my favorite rotted out T shirt and my favorite pair of not gonna make it through another wash shorts. So it's rainin, I'm comfortable, no squito's, Gilligans island theme is running through my head, and I'm grinnin like an idiot! I LOVE IT!!!!! Now I'm gonna cry. Geez I'm emotional the last few days. NAH! Raimnel don't remember if you said you were able to salvage any of your garden? Hope so! BCC my Aunt instilled me at a young age that Muskovies were ugly they had white with red and grey on them and have to agree. But seeing those birds has totaly changed my opinion. Didn't know there were others. My goodness those are pretty! Glad I brought that up I have to get a good pic of Peatwo he has to be the cutest lil bird I've ever seen but then again I might be a bit biased. Gotta love the smell of rain comin in!
It's just icky out today - been raining since I got up, and there's some scary lightening and thunder going on right now (when I was 13, we had a house get struck by lightening and burn to the ground while we were out shopping - so lightening is NOT my favorite!
). We have satellite internet, and it's been cutting in and out all morning.
Anyways, we're picking up the new foster kittens this afternoon!
And I'm ashamed to say I've got the incubator fired up again.
All those gorgeous new Cochins have started laying eggs for me, and I set 5 of them this morning (4 Blue Mottled, 1 White)...just to check fertility.
Oh Annarie you are too funny...you might just get me into cochins yet. I just love the look of them but am scared that all my other guys will beat them up! They are so Foo ya know? DrH you have cracked me up again! I can just picture you in some old raggy clothes, picking cukes and singin' your heart out!
The very image brings tears to my eyes! Of course not the same kind of tears that you would have if you SAW me in a bikini!
Nope--no bikinis for me! (said like the "soup Nazi")
I dont know what you guys are talking about...after our 17 drops of rain we have bright and HOT sunshine here! Looks like your storms are going to the North and South of me! I think I will need to water the cukes today! Tasted the lettuce and it is BITTER so I guess I need to get another crop planted...bet the critters will LOVE those garden spoils though!
OK--I have to print my recipe, get off of this computer and GET TO WORK! I really need to pick those tomatoes!
Terri O--the grand procrastinator
(PS to BCC) Make sure I get one of those drakes!!!! I will gladly trade you for a pied!
Dr, i use to hate those 'scovys too, till I got the chocolates, even the drakes don't have a lot of the red. The best part is they seam to like to fend-for-themselves, with a little help
and their quite. I've got three hens right now unaccounted for, so more ducklings
TO as always the laughs are reciprocated, I always enjoy it! I wasn't kiddin about my attire. It's all about being comfortable. Think Cliff Clavin said the world revolves around comfortable shoes. And the most important part is I'm having the best time of my life! Well except for those other few Bamillion times. The boat is ready to float in anticipation of the BFF's vacation. 3 hr 3 hr. It sure seems to me that Buster likes our morning talks he talks to me in his changing voice when I hold him and after I put him down.
And he's starting to try and have his way with his girls but they don't want his affections, yet, boy does that take me back. BCC I wasn't kiddin those are really really nice lookin! Dang it I really like to play with explosives but I already talked about the snowball effect. Blow a hole in the yard get ducks, geese, fish, cows, pigs, fainting goats. Get in the dang boat and shut up! Hey Hey Hey only two at a time. And only mating pairs. Sheesh!
Hi im new to this form. I was wondering does anyone Live in Northen Wi like in the Superior area. Im looking for ducks to buy.. pm me if you have ducks or duckling for sale and live in superior or close in there.
Been raining here since mid morning- in fact we had a tornado warning here around 2 pm not sure if there was any damage didn't see any on the way home.
Didn't get much done today except did finish cleaning out the turkey pen this am just finished as it started to rain and ended up getting rained on- rain was more on the cold side here! Picked some more squash from the garden, had to beat off the misquitoes and didn't finish-guess tomorrow is another day!
Stopped by the bread store on the way home and picked up some of the destroy bread so that the chickens can have some treats-they love it! We'd beening feeding them since they were hatched and it helps get them use to us and easier to handle them.
Probably will take the kids out for super tonight at Texas Roadhouse- they have some gift cards from there.

Early Evening to All, and Welcome to the forum happyhens44. Use to have folks from superior on, but some things change, and I haven't heard from them, even when I tryed.
Picked and ate my first german head pink tomato today. They are the huge tomatoes like bigboy, and the taste was extremely goody....I was so suprised by the wonderful flavor. More plants will be planted next year for sure....thanks sandhill preservation for the free seeds to try!
The buckeyes are running around exploring a little farther from the coop every day. They are having a ball here on the hill!
We froze almost 3lbs of broccoli today. Future cheese and broccoli soup this winter.
Doc, I can't believe you're skeets have taken a rest. Need any? Shipping would be cheap on a few thousand...
and I have millions to share...just let me know, and their in the mail!
Haddock fish sandwiches with home grown spinach, homemade buns and homemade tarter sauce tonight...Friday is almost always fish here.
