Didn't get a nap in, DH made me go lay paqvers with him at work. Now I'm really pooped! WC- I forgot to mention that I like your pictures of the new chickens. They look very cute! Have fun with them!
BCC-OMG are those babies cute! I love the little yellow one! The only one too!

Cute babies, BCC. It's raining pretty heavy here and has been for just under a hour. Of course the heavy rains knock out the tv and did so just as the weather was on.... it looks to be getting lighter outside again so hopefully the storms are moving on. Hope the rest of you are staying dry!

DD's older Andalusians started laying again-not sure which one yet but the eggs are white and getting bigger in size, we also have a couple small light brown eggs showing up as well-we're thinking they are from the cochins! Told DH that it would take about 8 of the pullet eggs to make him breakfast

BCC--did you steal my babies??? I know I reported that they would probably already be on walk about by the morning but I have not seen them since they hatched! (Now I know where they must have gotten too!) Man those little ducks walk FAST.
Not too much to report for the day...it rained so hard on my way to work I had to slow down to 25 MPH! The road was getting flooded and I couldnt see a thing. Then I got to my client's place and she was crabby...she hates rain. Oh well!
Dh is now home and he says he drove through some cloudy parts on the way where it was 20 degrees cooler! YEAH! With the weather reports for this weekend it looks like fall may be upon us. Annarie...did you see those runners on the auction? (just sayin',

) My friends are going to be Grandparents tonite! I am so excited for them. THis is their first Grandbaby...will certainly be spoiled to the bone!
I need more water--we ate lunch at Pizza Hut and their lasagna must have more salt than I am used to! Have a great night! TErri O

Oh yeah--Bigz; I would love your cheesey potatoes recipe (as I am sure many others would too) Here comes the rain and thunder...looks like my laundry gets another rinse!

Terri - yeah, I have one of their older brothers in another pen that I'm still trying to get rid of - already sold two of them. I hatched a LOT of them this year.

The sick ones are the youngest bunch (by just a few weeks - they're pretty much full grown, but they're still the babies, you know?), which makes it all the more awful.

And, while I'm on the subject - if ANY of you, wherever you may be in the state, know of anyone selling a female Indian Runner duck, let me know. My friend Terri L. (Lighthear here on BYC) who just lost her female Runner of the pair I sold to her this spring, is looking for a companion for her lonely drake. He's been hanging out with the chickens all week, and he's in dire need of a duck-buddy. She looked at some other breeds...but there's nothing quite like an Indian Runner.

Good Morning All! Cute babys BCC! Bigz thanks for the info! Didn't make into the garage yesterday maybe today. Want to look at the the 20 hp boat motor and fix the recoil on... here it comes... wait for it..... My ice auger. Should pick the cuc's for the bait shop lady. Too windy for makin wood today. Have a big pan of mustard short ribs soakin the fridge for tonights feast.

Looks like my kind of weather for the next week. Makes me think of heading up north and do some fishing. Better get my dishes done then decide todays agenda.

Nice morning again with a breeze to keep the misquitoes down! Kids are finishing breakfast to get ready for school and then I have paper work to do this am.

Hi guys.

Ohhh what a long week it's been. Oh yes oh yes oh yes. I was at school yesterday from 8 until 3, then studying from 3 until 9, and when I left my back burned so baaaaad I could barely move. 3+ hours on the heatpad and I was happy. Only one headache this week (I usually get one everday i'm in school, so anytime I can bring my stress level down not to get a headache is a winwin for me!) but my knee is killing me so bad I may take something for it.

If this isn't fall I don't know what is! DH and DS were in long sleeves and pants!

I picked a bunch of tomatoes today, so off to make them into pasta sauce. And do another canning of cukes. Yeesh.

We're going camping at Kettle Moraine in October.

But sorry; not with horses. Just for our Anniversary. Hopefully the colors will be at peak then.

But maybe you guys will be planning to go the same weekend. It would be awesome to get together with you guys again. Keep me posted.

What a week! Thank goodness it is over!!! I am SO ready for SLEEP!!!!!

No tomatoes here yet.... pulled a lot of the beets so we can eat them tonight with homemade potato/bacon soup.

Apparently we have 2 boys and 6 girls with the calls; the one grey and the black bibbed (Checkers). Everyone is molting out right now so they look scraggly.
