KelBelle!!- It's so exciting to find someone else on here that lives near me. We live near Manitowoc so it's not far from Sheboygan at all. So if you are ever looking for any chickens just let me know. I buy big orders of chicks and then raise them and sell them when they are cockerels or pullets.

Good Morning good people! Looks you campers better take your rain coats and long johns. Still wish we could get away. Nope TO it was just the one room to scrape. Figure I must have put in around 30 hours on that floor. Just washing the walls and scrubbing the floors in the other rooms plus cleaning the furniture. It's a hands and knees scrub with bleach water/soap and a stiff brush. No sewage thankfully! H&R thought CM's had really dark eggs? Maybe thinking of another breed. But cool eggs though. Need to slow down a little to have enough energy to take L out for a B'day meal tonight. But probably won't. Hope the rain misses all you campers and everyone else has a good weekend!

KellBelle welcome hope you enjoy your chickens I know I do . We just started this year also we have 4 -4 1/2 month olds and 11 2 1/2 month olds. I free range my chickens and don't worry about them too much since they are getting bigger {lost 7 of 11 of our original birds to 4 redtailed hawkss that took up residence next door } the birds are doing great now though and they are a blast to have around they follow my 20 mo
nth old little girl around because she helps me give them treats lol. But I'm not big on fences but that's just me.

Sorry FM that you couldn't make it. Probably better as the weather says rain all day tomorrow. TO and I are going to back out too. We are thinking of riding next week sometime. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Cold morning this morning. I'm so not ready for winter. I want my warm days back! This going outside to make a fire stinks already. But the house is like 63 and my fingers are cold. Hello to all that are new! Oh and Chris- I don't have fences either for my chickens, not because it don't like them, I'm just to lazy to put them up.

I got a fenced in area!!! But no one uses it!

That ain't all true, they use it in the morning before I get my lazy butt out of bed and let them out out. LOL

ho hum off to do dishes I go. blah! some times I wish I could just twinkle my nose and they would all be done.

I think the area we are considering fencing in is at least an acre or so. I am just really concerned about them possibly roaming to the neighboring property and ingesting pesticides when they are bigger. Not to mention GMO corn and soy.

Friday Evening Everyone....just finished the belly full of fish....tonight suzie made flounder in the oven and a cast iron pan of hash browns....tasty and delicious.
Glad everyone is fine, and hope you all have a great weekend.
Almost finished the buck hunt last night. Haven't seen alot these last few days, until last night 4 bucks with 2 nice ones in the bunch. Of course they were together so pulling back the bow and getting off a shot was a no way situation....pumped me up for longer sits now that I know those boys are here. Dang it, so close right there at 10 yards, and had to leave them all walk away!
I'll be back.... Hope they show up again too!

Well I got out yesterday, the difference between visits was night n day. the 1st time was not great, and i was in a lot of pain and slept a lot at home.
this time, being kept an extra day, I slept better, very little pain. And I now have a PICC line for antibiotics, so some very nice home health nurses, to show me how to DIY.
I was out early this a.m. feeding horses for a friend. meet w/ my nurse, got started, chatted, and now I will be going back to bed for a nap.

WICc glad thats getting better.
BigZ we stayed in and had Haddock Mmmmmm, with steamed carrots. that's all I had patience for last night, the whole family were going to play a game and I couldn't wait LOL
well today is the day, we're gonna take care of the hen with bumble foot.

I got her in confinement. she's probably thinking that I hate her. LOL she doesn't know this, but she's one that will stay til SHE dies. shes one of our first birds. to ta loo till later. stupid rain!
