Hey, I'm a vegetarian of 6 years and I went! I ate some meat. My stupid boyfriend wasn't going to eat any chicken because I was there (sometime's he's WAY TOO MUCH of a gentleman) - until I couldn't resist it and started eating it first. And, after 6 years, a nice, bloody steak tasted really good.

Gosh, I got crap about that ALL NIGHT LONG from the guys.

It's COLD outside! I saw my first snowflakes of the winter today.

Don't get me wrong, I love snow, but unlike Dr H, I am SO not ready for it yet! So, being in a bad mood about the snow, I went and ordered myself a really nice new coat that I've been drooling over for awhile now (and you half expected me to say I bought more BIRDS, didn't you?

)

I candled those Cochin eggs I have in the 'bator, and still have 7 of 10 going strong (they were all over a week old when I set them, and I hadn't been the greatest about turning them every day in the meantime, so that's pretty amazing!).

Boy am I behind this morning. Good Morning Everyone! Can sure tell the weather was nasty yesterday waay too many posts for me to address. But one caught my eye. TO if you or anyone wants slw eggs or chicks in the spring let me know N/C. Going to rearrange the back porch this morning to be able to get more wood in. Then heading out to make wood, but first some eggs with cin/raisin toast.

Oh thank Goodness you are alright FM! I thought maybe your fingers were broken (or something!) Welcome back at any rate and share if you want...just glad you are OK!

Not much news here today...found out I left the pump running the other night! Whew! It still is working...dont know what DH would say if he had to replace ANOTHER jet pump! I though about going to the dog park tonight but they close 1/2 hour before dusk and it gets to that time way too early now for me! Almost daily I thank the Lord that I am not working full time so I never see the sun! It is pretty nice out there right now. Clouds to the south-east but here we have sunshine!

Every day we have this weather is a day closer to spring...
Whatcha havin' for supper? I got some thick cut pork chops at the Pig today and am rolling them in cornflake crumbs and baking them, stuffing, Zucchini sauteed with mushrooms and onions and some cranberry sauce. I wanted to make fresh but they wanted WAY too much for the cranberries today! I am going to the Aldi's in Watertown and picking some up....99/LB! THat I can deal with! I like to go there now that they accept debit cards...I hate shopping with cash!

Well, today we had our first near disaster with the chickens. The kids were upstairs playing and heard the chickens flipping out. They ran to the window and saw a hawk out there pouncing. Of course then the blood curdling screaming began and the flood of tears. They woke the baby so I couldn't go out immediately with them to check it out. It took a while before they all came out from their hiding places, but we didn't lose any and there doesn't appear to be any major injuries either. There are quite a few feathers scattered about the lawn though. It is rather unnerving to say the least. Should I get a plastic owl or something? Maybe a potato launcher? LOL

Annarie, I am glad you mentioned that about eating out the day of a Badger game. We are going out there for the game after Thanksgiving and I really didn't think that far ahead about eating. Since the game will most likely be at night I'll just eat then. LOL Dh is going the game with my sister and the older two kiddos while I hang out with the little man and my mom at the hotel.

FM-Glad your ok. Was wondering but figured you had something going on. Isn't funny how we all wonder where everyone is after not posting for a couple of weeks? Don't anyone every move or something

Annarie-I would shame you but, I understand. DH and I are vegetarians 98% of the time, but unfortunatly there are times when you just can't resist. Like when my mom frys venison bacon.

I'm a gonner. Or we eat indian food. I love the cashew chicken. Our oldest is 100% and she cries alittle if we eat at Arby's. That was her favorite. And your boyfriend sounds like a keeper.

Any guy that understands and supports is worth it in my book.
Well saw snowflakes yesterday too. Was cold. Today was alittle better weather wise, but it's getting cold now. Well got to go close up the coop.
