Good morning to you! Sure looks frosty out there today...when is this "heat wave" coming in? (not that I am looking forward to the mud....) Starting to get the gardening bug though--man, it's not even January! I swear it comes earlier and earlier every year...
DrH--I thought if you had the Sheriff come that you dont have to have a tag to take the deer? I know when we got two a few years back he put something on them that said it was OK to have them. Was it because your BFF didnt actually hit it? Good on him that he stopped and saw to what needed to be done. Sad that they would just leave her to suffer! THen probably something else would come along to eat her up and get hit by a car too...glad he took care of it! I am sure you will get "bonus meat" for your helping efforts....then you can have "venzun and fries" this week along with BigZ! Twin brothers of a different Mother....
So I have the day off until 7 tonight...what to do? what to do? I think the mill and the grocery store are calling to me...I want to make this slow cooker tapioca pudding for the fam, (I cant stand the stuff!) but I need 2 quarts of milk and I dont have it. I sure wish my neighbor would stop being afraid of her cow and get to milking her! I MISS that milk! The dog park is calling too and I have some very rambunctious dogs right now! If it would get just a little warmer I could clean out the barn a bit...maybe staple up some more plastic...oh yeah, I should do that in the basement on the back door too....OK--I guess I have my whole day planned out now! (that was sure easy) Now to actually DO IT! A whole other story!
Raiquee--so glad that you have a good relationship with your Dad and he can calm your fears a little bit! It is always nice to have someone older and wiser to help that way...
Chris D--do you really think that a cat would get your chickens? I am not sure about Silkies but I have strays that wonder in and out around here on occasion and they LOVE to be in the coop...I believe they are hunting mice though. Now that I got this new poison though the mice are finally under control! YEAH!
It is called Rampage and I got it from F&F. It has Bromethalaine(?) Bromide(?) in it and they are supposed to eat less...all Iknow is that they are gone! I was starting to get a little creeped out by the numbers in there in the beginning of November. Some people suggested picking up the feed for the night but I like the girls to have access when their lights go on at midnight! I dont know what they would all do cooped up in there if they couldnt eat...
OK--time to get moving here...before I decide to go back up to bed! I am very tired all of a sudden! Must be too much typing...have a fantastic day everyone! Terri O
(PS) H&R...any pips yet?
