Anyone willing to chat about Southeast WI, we are relocating there in roughly 6 months and I'm looking to know as much as I can about the area prior to our move, we are hoping to live in or around Pleasant prairie or Kenosha. I would love if anyone could give me a heads up on a nice rural area to live!

I used to live in Kenosha for about 9 years. You might want to stay away from city limits because they don't allow chickens. My mother wanted to get some showgirl chicks from me and found out they aren't legal in Kenosha. If you have any specific questions about the area I might be able to help though.

I live a bit further west than what your thinking, but my son lives in Kenosha and I have friends and family dotted all over the area. I would stay as far away from Racine and Kenosha as you can, but then again, I HATE CITIES! Even small ones! If you want to P.M. me and let me know what your looking for (Buy or rent, how big and how much) I can help you out. Also, where your working (or looking for work) and far are you willing to drive. Hell, the house next to us is for sale! It has septic issues, but they can be fixed. Let me know what you need and I'll try to help you out. At least maybe I can point you in the right direction.

That area is smack between Milwaukee and Chicago and becomes more citified each year. Blegh on traffic and people. (Also hate cities.) That's why I moved out to the southern kettle moraine. 30 minutes to work (Waukesha), then escape the city once again!

Good Morning Everyone! I love the smell of hot brine in the morning! Smells like..... pickled eggs

Had look up other recipes the one given to me didn't include soak time. From what I gleaned it's 1-4 weeks. Think I'll taste test at 1.

I broke my tractor

I was about 5 minutes from being finished and pushed up a pile and now can't get it out gear.

Have a blower for back up. Going to pull the cover on it today.... Maybe. Hope it's just something easy and inexpensive

Wow what a set of games! I thought the Stealers were going to win but until the second half began to think otherwise. And how about those Packers. Agree with ya Bigz nothing but domination the whole game!

TO I had to scroll back up to look at the baby after reading as far "taking care of the baby" thought it was a doll at first glance but had to go back and make sure.

As far as us we won't need an electric site don't know if we're borrowing the BFF's pop up or tenting it yet. Already doing a mental list. Some one brought a big coffee pot last year. That would be our only outside need for Sunday morning. Laura is a Bears fan so that's what we'll be doing at noon. Have a great Day! [bl4 take a break!] Stay warm.

Thanks Dr.H I am doing just that. Sunday is my lazy day around the house!

Managed to fit in a date night with the DH on Friday night. Met up with some friends for fish dinner and chit-chat. Stayed out WAY too late for a 4AM wake-up the next day but totally worth it! We need more 'adult' nights out........

I think my ducks are ready for this Winter 'thing' to end NOW. They spend a lot of their time inside their house keeping warm.

Hey all my fellow Cheeseheads...First off all I gotta say is WWAAAAYYY TO GO PACKERSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Hope you ALL watched the game last night.

Next, I am looking for some eggs, so I don't have to buy hatching eggs from someone CLEAR across the U.S.

what I am looking for:

1. Bantam Ameraucana eggs (can be blue green, or bluish, don't have to be TRUE BLUE, I'm not picky) need 1 dozen to hatch

2. Bantam Splash Silky eggs, 1 dozen (looking for that really cool salt and pepper look)

Let me know what you may have and if you'd be willing to sell me some.
