Good Frigid Morning to All....we had about 5 ticks below 0 this mornin... just sayin, sure ain't braggen!
The ideas for the t-shirt sound great. I agree with whatever you'all decide!
Yep, the dial is what you said Doc. I think I got it straightend out. They should make the numbers a little smaller

WCC, it's up to you about the camp kitchen. The lodge has a stove, microwave, fridge, coffee pot, and all the cups plates and stuff....sink there for doing dishes and a small deli bar for serving if we want to use it. The facilities are ours to enjoy and use...prolly alot of things one can leave home this time, and simply use the camp stuff. I could move there tommorrow.

My sandhill catalog is finally here. I have my seeds all picked out. I just need to fill out the form and get it in the mailbox.
I didn't check out all the chicken breeds yet, but I did notice one new Canadian Breed, and that's the Red Chantecler, It hasen't been admitted to the APA standard yet. That would be a fun breed and they are cold weather hardy....so many breeds, and so little housing here....

Got your PM Raimnel think I'll post it before going further. Don't know when I'll get it. Boy Bigz the more you talk about the camp the better it sounds maybe we've found a home. Talked gardens with BFF yesterday we're both getting antsy too. I'm hungry!

Hey just checking in man it's cold out there!!

i don't think so. I am in lockdown with the bator and the humidity is staying steady at 71-72 percent is that ok. I'll check in later.

We keep our humidity around 55 when we go into lock down and that seems to work fine. You might want to do a search on the other threads to see what others do. I know to high can drown the chicks.

If it is to high I don't know how I would get it down without opening the bator. Maybe I am just getting nervous I'll search for some answers. Thanks

Good after noon! Well--took me nearly an hour to get through all the posts...I should know better than to miss more than a day! I missed FM's Birthday!

Got my horses all blanketed this afternoon in preparation for the wind chill nonsense. I am ready to be done with winter already! I am gessing with all the seed, hatching and garden talk that you all are ready too? On another thread they are harvesting stuff...I think I need to move to a warmer climate! THis winter is for the "birds!" Well, I am sure that they hate it too!
Been working a lot...(somebody's got to) so I am crabby and not too chatty...I think I am going to catch a quick nap before I have to go to my night client.
Stay warm--Terri O

Ahhh, happy Friday (for me), looking forward to the day off tomorrow, even if it is in antartica. Gotta run the boys in for shots (boo) and then hit the feed store for more shavings, chicken feed, and and chick crumbles. My gosh my NYD hatch chix are getting big!

Love all the bash talk, sounds like so much fun. Hope I can arrange to attend at least part of Saturday!

Off to poke at the embers, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Thank goodness for fireplaces.

Still fighting with this stupid cell phone company. Oldest DD's phone is still not functioning...... but at least I was able to talk with a live person yesterday! Progress at a snail's pace!

Everyone keep warm out there! Bundle up!

Good Chilly Morning All! -12 here. Starting to question the thermo, always warmer than the TV. Other than taking care of the kids, gathering eggs, and getting the mail that will be my only outside activities today.

Had meatloaf and our first try of the canned carrots last night. Absolutely no taste to them at all. I thought the frozen were tasteless. Think I'm not going to mess with putting any up next year just plant enough to eat during the summer. Could braise them I suppose. Didn't get much accomplished on the tax crap yesterday so going to hit it hard today. Got 8 eggs the day before and 7 yesterday, what good girls! I have to herd a few back into the coop at night they like to hang in the wood shed. Warmer days are ahead. Used to be we'd have a full week of -20 in a row. Can't say as I miss that. Stay Warm!
