Jim thanks for sharing the info on the bator water! Bec don't really have THAT problem yet [L might not agree]but come Sunday the hot pickled eggs will be done and even I can't handle that aftermath. Might be sleepin in a snow bank necked. It won't be pretty!

Hey Becky, sorry to have come off rough; I did not mean it! It has been a thrill ride dealing with the cell company that I forget where I am typing....... my big dog follows me everywhere too, but I trained her to do that (unintentionally) when she was a baby. It usually does not bother me until I get into the kitchen!

Jim, I attempted to hatch eggs last year but they were shipped to me. Of the 9 eggs, 4 showed development but only one hatched; the magpie bibbed girl. The rest are from eFowl hatchery. I can bring eggs or ducklings; I though I might let the mammas try to hatch some out or I can attempt the incubator again.......

I wonderif I will be able to make it in to Oshkosh tomorrow morning?????? They cancelled classes at the University for tomorrow already.......

BL4 I don't know about heading it to Oshkosh Tomorrow, sounds like they are going to get a lot of it too.

All I know is it is howling and I mean HOWLING out there. Got the fire going, a homemade Soda in hand, a plowed driveway (Until it drifts over again, lol), family near, and happy chickens. What more could a guy really ask for?

Stay safe all, and if your driving south Take your Time!! Blessings All!!!

I got my standard cochins in August, and they are just about ready to lay. (I saw my rooster finally mount one of my girls when I went in there tonight), so if you have any questions, just let me know!!

Jim, your back, good to here from you. I've got a 2 pair of calls, got to ask my kid if they are butterscotch or fawn, she's on a school trip sking right now, BRRRRRR, I think butterscotch. I got them at the WI international this fall.

what a day, just got a call for the hmong fellow that has me breeding the ga noi, now he want them back, all of them. I've been keeping them since may, the original trio, plus hatching, brooding, and raising the chicks. the deal was I breed the adults, hatch the eggs, and we split the chicks. good deal the roo is worth $500 alone, well in fall I told him the chicks will not be able to handle the winter cold, he blew me off. so when it got cold they started to die, I lost prolly 20 birds to the cold, what you think, pull a young roo and 2-3 pullets out for me, and give up the rest? or make a stand and keep all the 'chicks' they are over 6 month old now, and give him back the orginal trio (the orginal trio is his not mine, but I have been feeding and caring for them with out anything in return all this time)

If you need June bearing strawberry plants I will have hundreds to give away when they start sending out runners. I have All Star, Honeoye and Sparkle. They're all grown together so I don't know which is which, but they're all good, so who cares. I'm not too far from you, it might be worth coming down.

Sounds good, let me know this spring and I will probably take you up on it! Thanks for the offer.

DrH, I busted out laughing at your last posts, and scared the baby! Told him its alright, just that doc character again. Hope all the dog business works out Bec.

(someone thought I had ducks - not yet, heehee.)

Nice to see you back Jim! My little blue Ameraucana from you ended up a boy, but decided to keep him. He's a bit of a cad with the ladies, hope he learns some manners. He's a mild-mannered roo with people, so that's great.

Got 10 inches of the white stuff, now the wind is getting fierce. Hunker down tonight!

Forgot to add, one of my girls is trying to go broody. Plucked herself half bald.

Nasty Windy Eve To All... that's a tough call BCC. What do you think is the fair deal? Are you gonna be able to keep the balance from being chilled if that's the deal you can work out? Another question... is there any interest in the breed besides the asian folks....I think they are ugly, although most games aren't really purty in my eyes. OK if it's too many questions tell me to be quiet...is their temperment fiesty...? I don't think asian games are for me.

I was gonna call it a day....but ....hey suzie can you grab me a beer....ahhhh that's better!
