Yikes lots of bad stuff going on. There was a 12 year old boy from my town of Grantsburg that died in Duluth in a ski accident with his church group this weekend. Very sad. They have not released his name yet.

On a brighter note. Hubby has been gone for 3 1/2 weeks. He will be home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited to see him. I thought he was gonna be gone until the 1st. Now he will be home for my birthday next weekend! Glad I wont be spending the day by myself!

Snow is coming down good! Went to the MN Wild game today with Mom, Sis, 2 nephews, and my cousin. Was a great game even though we lost in the shoot out. By the time we left St Paul there was 3 inches on the ground there. Glad I made it home just as it was starting up here. I think we are getting almost an inch an hour right now.

My chickens were loving actually being able to scratch around int he dirt. They will probably be under another 6-7 inches of snow tomorrow.

HI I was wondering if anyone new somepeople I could get a hold of to buy some chickens from. I'm looking for Black Ameraucanas and Black Shamos. Any help me finding some breeders would be a big help to me starting my flock.

Yep, and this is why I want to rent space in an incubator, of some one who hatches eggs on a regular basis.
I had a hen go broody, and got lucky. I will do that again this year if I get broody silkies, but I don't want to be one of those "help" (insert panic filled subject here).

So why is it, that I am taking 2000 mg of antibiotics every day, yet still manage to catch a cold and get an infection in my chest.
Bleh!

ON an up note, the 2 buff brahma bantams at the house seem to be getting better, the one's cough is getting shorter, and her hruuuurrr hruuuur sound is lessening.

Prayers and hugs sent to the families that are dealing from the drastic losses in the last 2 days.

LOL,, I hardly respond to them.. I read them and then mentally answer them (to myself) like: DUH !! or .,, What the he11 did you expect would happen ?.. my favorite answer to,,
"did I kill them ?" yeah, probably, might as well just toss the whole mess and start over.. LOL

just one more, and that's it, I promise, sort of.. I just read this advice... ....."just take them out and candle them....in a humid bathroom of course" Oh, but of course, run $20 worth of hot shower water to get the room really steamy.. LOL
