I'm From Wausau, Wisconsin. But driving to pick up some chickens isn't a big deal. Like The Black Ameraucanas and The Black Shamos I just really like. I was looking for some breeders of those breeds. MN and IL, Iowa arent out of the question either depending.

Good Snow Filled Morning Everyone!

FrozenChef! Glad you could join us, hope you find us at least amusing. Congrats to you and yours GC! Don't think the kids are going to be happy today. Had to shovel snow out of the way to close them up yesterday. Looks to be around 8" out there without the drifting. At least it's not -20. Yesterday L got backed into on the highway. A woman missed her driveway and decided to back up without looking behind her. She just tagged the Jeep enough to break one of the license plate screws. I'll take it in and have it looked at. The cops weren't far away they had just gotten the woman out of the ditch. Laura was already in reverse and laying on the horn. The cop said their at their house alot, she's a looney. I knew her son in highschool he's a bubble off too. She was cited for improper backing. Didn't get to see much of the race, was on the phone for most it. That wasn't racing to me Bigz it looked more like a school bus race.

I have the BFF slated to be here bright and early Sunday morning to tear out the bathroom and install a new floor and shower stall. Then on Monday the SIL of a friend that I used to work with is coming to do the plumbing. He's a master plumber so I know it'll be done right. One more cupper then out to plow a path for Laura to get out. Drive Stupid!

good morning all, got a phone call at 6AM .. wrong number.. they called right back so we let the answering machine handle it.. So I am awake, might as well get up and drink coffee..

I am in no hurry to go outside this morning.. The snow is tight up to the bumper on the car.. The snow is not a problem,, the wind chill is..... more coffee please....

after awhile I am going to incubation to see what morsels I can pick up.. they never let me down.. LOL

FrozenChef, what side of Wausau are you at? I am near Little Chicago.. do you hatch eggs , also?

DrH .I have no idea of how experienced of a carpenter you are.. so don't take this wrong if you already know....
make sure you get the walls perfectly plumb and square for your shower insert.. trim and shim if you have to.. there is nothing like having bottles falling off the shelves of an unplumb wall..

I am glad you live so far away, or I might be tempted to come and help..

thanks for the chuckle this am, this statement brings back memories, my parents have been remolding their house for years now(we grew up helping) and they were getting some carpet in 2 of the upstairs bedroom and the person from the carpet store came out to take measurements of the rooms and was checking the level of the walls, my brother and I asked what he was doing and he told us he was making sure the walls were square as it would make laying the carpet easier. My brother and I started laughing and told the guy, our dad did this they're square!

H&R, Our schools are all closed up here..

that carpet guy was giving you a ration of sh!L .. unless he was going to put the carpet on the wall.. My Bro was a carpet layer. and I helped him often.. he never checked the plumbness of the walls.. Carpet is kicked in to any shaped floor, straight or crooked or even round....
