Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Congrats Magoochie!

BCC - what will you be selling??
Should we wear buttons or hats or something??
Or will everyone just recognize Terri??
LOL
Cannot wait for this mini meet up.
There is a person on our local CL that is selling some silver sebrights, and a gold lace hen of some sort, couldn't tell if it was a standard or not.

Night all

It sure would be nice if all the swaps would give an address so that it can be googled or gps'd.. they say "fairgrounds" aaannd? which side of town is it on ? It is like they don't want anybody to show up...

Yeah Brent, the social worker was a snap.. Annie takes care of all that paper work etc.. The social worker has even bigger problems than we do.. 7 year old triplet boys... Nooo thank you..
I'll bet she empties out a few of her own whiskey cases.. LOL

gotta pop those 2 turkey eggs into the bator now, and then going to bed early tonight..

...........jiminwisc..........

By the looks of it, everybody's got spring fever - chicks, duckies, goosies...

Magoochie, you've been busy

Congrats on your new additions. Would LOVE a horse someday, grew up riding, taught lessons at a camp, money is an issue though. Will have to settle for riding with Julie

She just joined the forum, by the way, yay!

Calling all broody experts: I've got one very determined small broody hen that I'm going to stick some eggs under. She's such a tiny little thing, maybe 5 eggs tops is all she can sit on. There are a couple other hens flirting with broodiness, and I have a large outdoor Rubbermaid storage bin that's about 3'x4'. Question is, can I put more than one broody in a space like that? Or should each hen have separate quarters? I could probably divide the space down the middle, if I had to...

Good news is my roos have stopped ripping each other apart and seem to be getting along. Everybody's back in the coop together. I was watching those two yesterday; they were sparring for a minute then stopped to peck the ground, 30 seconds later hackles were back up, then back to pecking dirt... what oddballs. Hate you, like you, hate you, like you

Good Morning All! Sounds like a nice get together in BD. And everyone is getting spring fever. Think today will be the last major mudding then a coat of primer then probably a little more mud. Will be so glad when this is finished. Then I can move on to the next project.

Buster has spring fever too. Yesterday he went after my black barn boots. He REALLY does not like black! Weirdo! The girls went into a short lull in laying, only got 5 eggs for a couple of days but yesterday got 8. Really need to clean the coop! And check the stove chimney and and and. Everything has been pretty much ignored with this bathroom remodel. Time to mix up some mud. Have fun and enjoy the day!

Broodiesyou need them separated but just a partition will work broodies don't need much room, just enough to stretch, poop, eat, if they are all together you'll get one kicking out the others or everyone one one nest
as for what I'm selling, pure & mixed white Ameracuna roo's, soup hens (they are laying but not well enuff for me, cuckoo marans) maybe some chicks, chocolate muscovy ducks looks likes alot of hens (but I have to catch them

)and I'm debating about some others. as of right now I'll be in my black Montana van unless my cousin get a truck before the swap, he'll have some bunnies, not sure what kind,

good morning, all the chores are done and i am all coffee'd up.
I accidently double filtered it.. One cup is enough !! I think I will make it all through the day without a nap..

last night I Was going to go to bed early, it didn't happen.. I was about to turn off the TV when I started watching a movie that was just starting.. wellll, 2 movies later I was off to bed..

this morning the little barred rock hen flew onto my shoulder like she does every morning,, then a guinea did it,, and when I went outside,,I bent over and was "talking" to one of the turkey hens and SHE jumped onto my shoulder, she even let me pet her.. Do you suppose I am moving too slow ?? I must look like a statue in a park to my birds ...LOL

today I will be moving another batch of eggs to the hatcher. One of them blew it's top.. It was not developed and all the albumen was evaporated out and the yolk was mummified..
luckley, It did not stink..

BCC- Can you hold one or two of the Cuckoo Marans for me? I would take them if you bring them. They say rain for Sunday and Monday, so I will probably be in a green rain coat.
just above should length hair, brown plastic glasses similar to the black ones girls wear in the military (cheap ones from eye mart exp) LOL
And following Terri around like a worshipful fan!!
