Good evening all! Waiting for my Fast Fish Florentine to get done baking.

Havent made it in a while and Cod was on sale today at the grocery...I think I should have gotten the cheaper Pollack though...oh well---a splurge for tonight!
Kee--do you really think the eggs arent good after only 1 weeks incubation? I thought you were supposed to wait until at least day 10? Maybe I got it confused. I am not candling mine until lockdown; and I do that only to make more room cause I have them stacked on the turner this time!
DrH...maybe you just need a broody to do the work? See--I didnt have to worry at all when those broodies were up in the ceiling without my knowledge...I just heard peeps one day and then got them down! She is out of her cage now and all 10 are happily following her around. SHe hasnt taken them out of the coop yet...smart mama! Heck, at this rate they wont come out until they are full grown!

I sure hope the weather folks are wrong about tonight! It was quite a nice afternoon for it supposed to be raining! The 4H kids were out and groomed up the horse and then took her to graze on the new grass by the road. She was in HEAVEN. Well, dinner is ready! Gotta get some grub! Have a nice night! Terri O

I have some in the Brinsea octagon so they were already upright but the ones in the LG had to be put in egg cartons. I hope I get at least a few to hatch. I spent over $100 on these eggs.

WOW--What kind of eggs are they BBP? THat is what is stopping me from buying eggs that need to be shipped...I would just hate to "waste" money on eggs that dont hatch! Hopefully they work for you.

Oh yeah...David--that is such an excellent coop! WHy are you worried about the placement of the nest boxes? They look find to me. I like the little "poop boxes" too...Are you planning on training your birds to poop only in there?

The nest boxes are right above their door, the way the people door is placed, it is the only spot i could put. it. I read somewhere that if you put the poop boxes under the perches
then all you have to do is pick up the boxes, knock them out and it saves a lot of effort. i need one more to cover the whole area.

I have my fingers crossed ha ha is successful, if not it gives me more time to putz with the siding and run.​

I do have 2 roosters and a hen. I've finally gotten chicks out of mine (only 3 so far). I have a big waiting list for the chicks. My incubator is full so my broody dorking got some lavender eggs shoved under her the other day. She is not getting out of that nest. Another hen tried to kick her out today and she turned around so her tail was in the other hen's face and didn't budge.

gud evenink, the turkey baby is in with the 3 guinea babies.. either I am going to have three very calm guineas, or one helluva stressed out turkey..

Brian brought me about 40 Americauna eggs today.. and while we were sitting and chewing the fat, the Hmong lady brought me 6 dozen of her eggs to hatch.. she didn't know what kind of chickens she has.. I will set them all tomorrow..

Dave, the pop door is just fine under the nests.. You might have to get hard hats for the chickens, though.. and maybe some bombadier sights so they can hit the poop boxes from that high up.. I can't wait until you have them all trained to come in from outside, jump up on the perch and poop..

Good Morning All! My alarm went off at 5:17 PEEP PEEP PEEP! No ones out yet but now have 3 zippin! Starting to think the rockers won't zip. It's like their fighting to get out and can't after awhile they quit rocking.

None of them have zipped. Of the 2 that I can see into the shell they are just the color you are want otonoh! The weather report is really irritating me!

Guess I'll just have to babysit for a couple of more days.
