Good Early Morning Everyone! Early for me not for ontonoh or bl4. Bob woke me up at 4 to go outside then after seeing the snow he wouldn't go. He's still a dink! So I had to check on everyone. Then back to bed for a few seconds. I'm awake now.

All is good! Baby is snug and warm in the brooder but very lonely. Zipping is continuing but way too slow for me. 5 zipping now. Think I need a warm workshop for hatching so I'm not constantly watching. Thinking a 40 by 60 pole shed would be about right. Sf raspberry and white choc chip! Man that sounds good

WCc good save on the salsa! Everyone I've talked to is in agreement not going to mess with the snow it'll melt. bl4 and others the xmas lights and turkey dinner cracked me up. Silly people! I love it! Yup the yolk was absorbed IDK. Just sad!

I talked to a mechanic friend about my tractor clutch.. he thought we MIGHT be able to fix it without splitting the tractor..

the goose must be resting.. and the pip Annie thought she saw on the duck egg seems to actually be a dent.. I noticed the dent when I transferred the eggs, just didn't mention it to her.

DrH , a 40 x 60 poleshed would be a nice start.. If I had to do it all over, I would build a 80 x 160.. I would put living quarters in one corner of it and have a big wood furnace to heat the whole thing.. I would have my firewood delivered inside and park the cars and tractors inside, and I would never walk in snow or mud again.. the livestock would be in there also..

I bought an incubator from a young couple way over in Western Wisc who did just that.. Only he was into mechanics.. and his whole shop floor had heat coils underneath..

Good morning all! My DH has a friend with a shop like that Jim. It is the toastiest place with the heat under the floor! He has one of those outdoor burners that provides the heat. He is into mechanics too, build trucks and such.
So I guess DrH will have some chicks! Yeah!

See all that waiting and watching must have helped...

A coupla prayers couldnt hurt either.

Thanks for offering though....plenty of eggs around here, I would just break it anyhow! Put a string through it and hang it in a window for Easter! Some year I am going to do that with good eggs and hang them out in my tree outside....yeah, when I'm 80 and have nothing better to do! Speaking of trees, did they get a good one for your Christmas in April BL4? That sounded so cizy I was about to get a turkey out of the freezer and make it for tonight...might still do it too!
Well, my timer just rang and I promised myself that I would accomplish something today. Now I have 45 minutes of work to do and then I can come back for another 15....I hate having to make deals with myself to get something done...only way it works for me though! Later...Terri O

TO, same here, I think I need a pin in the rear this morning! I jumped out of bed this morning, I was thinking about what today is (Wed) I gotta go to the feed mill, cash DH check that was late from last week (unemployment) all of a sudden I couldn't remember if I sent his work hours in for last week to get a check this Friday

I didn't! FAIL! crap. I got so much crap to do today I would like to crawl back in bed, but it all still has to be done

Hey SF I had one of those SUBWAY cookies the other day, they are pretty good!

I like the double chocolate better lol

Boy Jim my fingers are crossed!!! I'm not set up here to split my tractor [yet] so the guy I bought it from down around the corner did the new clutch parts for me. Labor was $175 told him he works too cheap. 1,000 feet square with a round roof and a garden! Biodome/square. Shouldn't kid about that it might happen some day. The in floor heating is as about as efficient as you can get. Just ordered some info on a new wood stove this morning. Mine has some serious heat cracks in it that I've tried to stop it and patch but... I've burned it for around 9 years and it was used when I got it. Good luck on the tractor! TO sucks when you have to punch your own clock! I'm starting to wonder if the swearing I did while praying was a bad thing.

I just HAD to do an assist on 2 of the eggs both had been struggling for close to 24 hrs with little or no progress. Tweezered some of the shell away from the membrane and moistened the membrane. Think the one that zipped first is going to be a linebacker for the pack. It now has a large helmet on it's head and breakin through the line. Naughty chickens! But the rukus seems to stimulate the rest. The one in the brooder is so lonely! Everytime I leave and stop talking it just screams!

Back to baby sittin.
