Seems kina funny that some birds don't want to lay in this weather....just ask Suzie...all I've done the last couple weeks is lay in the lazyboy. Silly birds!

LOL! You & me both. That's all I feel like doing, anyway.
I know this may be asking for trouble, but can I ask what the weather is supposed to be like up there on Saturday? Temperature-wise, anyway?

Yep, they are calling for perfect weather. Gonna be 73, dry and sunny on Sat, and dry, sunny and warmer Sun in mid to upper 70's. It should be nice Friday afternoon as well. I'm really looking forward to the great weather.

Just for the sake of mentioning the feed I use, it's made fresh at the local feed mill and is a 18% laying ration. While the higher protein doesn't seem like much, in reality it's 12.5% higher than 16%...if that makes sence?

Just in case anyone besides me was curious, I went back, and back, and back....... and found the post with last year's bash pic.

Post #8406 on page 841 from Raim on May 19th. That was almost 100 pages ago! In just over a month! Are you sure one weekend is going to be long enough for us chatty Cathys to catch up with each other?

On that note...good afternoon! I have our last 4H meeting before the fair tonight...should be interesting! I have to find some similar paper for a member that missed last week's meeting--forgot to pick it up when I was in Fort today!

MLH--your HENS ATE the baby chicks? That is really strange! My hens pretty much ignore the little ones out near them--they are all together and there are a BUNCH! They must have thought they would eat all the food or something...thanks for the info on feeds-very interesting. When I go out I plan to take a look at mine.

thanks Brent, I didn't think it was very far.. I will just go there first and then come back to camp.. the lady now wants 7 chickens instead of 2.. in the meantime another lady wants about 20 pullets.. why does it always happen like this ? I will end up selling all of my replacements again and have to hatch more for myself..

Do you believe ? the motor I just bought does not come with an oil dipstick.. I had to go and order one.. $9.12 !!!! for a dipstick ???

I can live without a byc banner at the bash..
