Good evening everyone...the window AC unit is cranked and the humidity is dropping in here! Whew!
Hey Kee...is that my duck? I am so glad he found a home with you...he was certainly a sweetie. I will show DD his pick. She didnt want him to stay here cause he was so tame...tame critters have a hard time with the other "normal" ones here!
Have fun at the fair zsa! We are going on Friday with DH's company....IF he gets home from Missouri in time! I grew up very near the State Fair and we were there for the whole week I swear! It is soooo different now though; I was in that neighborhood last week and hardly recognized it. I am anxious to see all the changes on Friday for sure!
BBP--I dont want to start a war here but; may I ask why you are against neutering? I guess I cant see any real reason not to except if you have a show dog or something and need to keep them whole...and I guess I still have a little problem with that...so If you dont mind my asking...
Good thoughts going out to the Buzzmaster! That is really crummy! Poor thing...
Kris--I use the fly predators here...am on my 4th year with them. THey work really great! THis year has been odd though cause there seem to be more than normal. I also have traps (Big Stinky) that work fabulous! I am on my 3rd fill of the pheromone and they just keep on coming! I use 3 big ones and one small. I never have to use any fly sprays on my horses though...
GOth--sweet looking cat! He kind of reminds me of Jerry V's cats that he breeds. Gosh, cant remember the name now--sure hope that "brain pill" gets here soon!
Anyone going to take Mac up on his offer of chicken food? Man, I sure wish Gas wasnt so expensive! I would take a drive out there...maybe I will PM him and see any how. I just spent a bucket load at the mill again today--story of my life!
Good luck with the fleas BL4! YUK! In all my years having dogs I have not had that problem...knock on wood! We did have one cat one time that had them from the farm he came from but we caught it in time before the house got infested. I think the only way to get rid of them now is a house bombing...but if you can wait a bit they say that if you put Frontline or the equivalent on your animals they will eventually all be killed the fleas NOT the animals!)
Good luck on the job DKV! I hope your dog settles in too. My daughters just took ours to the lake so they could swim. THey have been kind of naughty lately because we havent been taking them to the dog park...gotta get in that groove again soon for sure!
I watched the torts today until they went into their house for the night. They both went in all by themselves! I am so glad. I did watch Rita try to do some climbing (not flying Jim) and she ended up on her back STUCK! Great, more for me to worry about while I am at work. They finally retired after lots of snacks...I will do a bit of reinforcing tomorrow I guess. Man, the place will look like Fort Knox by the time I am done with it!
Hey CInd--Turk's baby is getting stripes just like him! He is soooo adorable. For those of you that dont know Turk he is a striped half Turken that I got from Cind last fall (?) I think? He has a few ladies that he keeps in the barn and there is one baby with a nice naked neck! SO adorable.
BigZ, are your BUckeyes laying yet? I am still waiting for eggs. ALso waiting for some from Jim's Blue Ameracaunas and also from the Wheaton girl from H&R! I should be fairly rolling in eggs once all of those birds start laying! (not that I need any more really...but the color will be nice!)
Gotta go and lock up critters (except for the torts) and feed cats...have a great night...I am going to make some popcorn for dinner...wanted the tomatillo soup but that needs to cook in the slow cooker so I will put it on in the morning. Nighties! Terri O
