Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good Afternoon!

I guess I have a couple hours before the Packers play at 3:15

TO your post was very funny to me. Brussel sprouts frozen on the stalk. lol Parrots addicted to striped sunflower seeds. lol Crack for chickens!

Amy those kids and their costumes are just adorable.

CelticChick I hope Myrtle starts feeling better. I heard somewhere that the PRs are susceptable to Vent Gleet at around 2 yrs old. Are her vent feathers wet or crusty dry? Maybe some ACV in her water and some chopped garlic and ginger and cinnamon in her mash could help.

Yeh CRStuff!

Thanks for the support with my DS29 today it is DS30. From now on I will try and limit my posts to more chicken related stuff and not so personal. For the last few days I have been out of my mind with this and blurted it out. (I have editted and took 2 whole paragraphs out since)

Anyway thanks.

good Packer Sunday.. cloudy but nice outside.. I have not done anything worth writing about today..

Had a fresh piece of apple pie for breakfast, now waiting for some ho-made chicken soup for supper..

couldn't find the baby peacock last night at lock-up.. Annie went looking after dark and found her hiding on top of the quail pen.. brought her/him/it into the house for Ken to see.. He was really surprised at how big it is..

I stacked 19 bales of hay around the quail pen and covered the pen and hay with tarps..

Getting windy up here. The birdies are loving it! More seeds and stuff for them to eat today.

Church was good, lots of fun and seeing people I haven't seen in a while. I really need a bigger building. Anyone have a pole building sitting around that I could have?

I was teaching my DS4 how to watch football and he fell asleep... Yep he is my boy, that is what Sunday afternoons were built for!

Pumpkin is well drained and going to the freezer via the ice cube tray, makes it easier to use later.

Hope everyone enjoys a great day of rest!

KEN

I am going to set up a lemon blue project cochin breeding pen this spring. I will have this cockerel in with a lemon blue hen and a blue hen. Would anyone be interested in buying hatching eggs from these guys? They are bantams.

I'd be interested (!!!), but I'd rather trade... unfortunately it looks like you already have blacks!

His markings are just beautiful... how much were you thinking of asking?

Good evening! WOW--that was weird....I was just going to post and the screen looked like it blinked...then I noticed that Henferno's avatar had changed...I was just looking at it and POOF! Strange....

So Tiki--you can rant and talk all you want about your kids...one of my clients say that they were much easier when they were little...she is having troubles with her FIFTY-SOMETHING son!!! She tells me repeatedly never to have kids...ah, a little late! I am not sure what you posted that was "so personal" but I think we are all friends here and we can help and comfort each other no matter what is going on in our lives...(at least that is how I feel

) That is why we have a state board anyhow! I say post away and here's a special hug for you...

Got back from Carol's an hour or so ago...we had a nice ride and I met one of her neighbors and her DH. (he was watching the game.....you all know how I feel about THAT!

) I rode in carol's DH's saddle...first time I have tried an Aussie saddle. VERY comfortable! Although maybe it was all the padding Mike has on it!

It was very different for me to ride a gaited horse that is not also "trotty" like mine. That horse never even offered to trot! It was even hard to get her to canter! We had fun though...then coffee with her friend Joan and I got the grand tour. Teased her a bit about her "Pepto Porch" I hope she knew it was all in fun! (if not Carol, please tell her I was teasing!)

Got all my critters fed when I got home and now am enjoying a beverage and the relative quiet before DH and DD get home from watching the game. Maybe it will go into overtime...do football games do that? Shows how much I know...or care!

Strange to have it so dark already! I really dislike this time of year! Feels like living in darkness all the time. Depressing to say the least. Although if we look on the bright side, the days will start to become longer in just a bit more than a month right? Too bad it seems like it takes longer for them to actually GET longer than it does for them to get shorter....does that even make sense? (well, it does to me! LOL!)

SO with that thought I will leave you for the evening. I have been inviting more WI folks that I see on the boards so maybe they will pop in...sweet dreams everyone--talk tomorrow! Terri O

good packer winning evening.. just had to pop in to see how TerriO liked the game.. 9-0 ,how about that ?
those packers sure know how to play it right down to the wire..

I just pigged out on chicken soup and ho-made bread. I didn't even have any room left for apple pie dessert..

all I did today was make a rolling base for my daughter for her spice cabinet..

the 2 new cockatiels have adapted very well.. I am surprised at how quiet all 3 of them are.. Annie keeps whistling and talking to them so they make a little noise.. I found out last night that the female answers to piano music.. and she also is the first to notice if a car drives into the driveway.. way before the dog or the geese..

My friends had a gaited tenn walker.. Billy.. He was not that well trained, but he sure was smooth to ride anyway.. If we rode him bareback, we could lie down on his back and just about go to sleep.

that's all I have for now.. maybe I will check in before I go to bed..

anybody hear from DrH ?

...........jiminwisc...........

Jim--I aagree/DrH where are you? I wish I had some chicken soup to eat....DH is home; tired of listening to him on the phone, eating his dinner AND football sh!t on the TV...oh for the silence again........T

(PS) glad they won....but....
