As far as the rat poison, if I remember correctly I read in one of the Fleet Farm magazines that they put out that one of the products that they make is safer to use when you have cats and dogs or ??? that might eat the poisoned mouse or rat???? Can you find out about that and which one that might be ????
I looked on all of the boxes and didn't read anything about it. Can't remember what they called it?

Hey Brent, what say we find a potbellied pig for a pig roast at the bash next summer ? I have a large smoker/grill make out of a 55 gal drum..

TerriO and or Sandi.. get an Ohm meter from menards or F&F. You can test for a short in your water heater with it.. "lips in the water",,, you kill me.. time out,, I can't type and laugh at the same time..

I transferred the goose eggs into bator #3.. then I found out why the turner in #1 was not turning.. same reason it would not turn in #3.. one of the trays was pushed in too far and was hanging up.. what a relief., I had all my tools down here ready to tear into the back of #3..

I will tell you this, with two bators turned on, it is d@mned hot in this room..

Anyway, went to town to get dog food and looked for the Ham soup base. The one our local grocery store carries is Superior Touch brand http://www.superiortouch.com/retail/products $5.79 for 38 servings !!! I will wait til I can check out Walmart or Trigs in Rhinelander or Copps in Antigo.
Our local store is high in prices. Good deals on meat sometimes but other things, on Deal !!

Went to pick up all of my Pot Belly Pig Books and Peafowl books and a Dvd of Temple Grandin. So I will be busy for the next few days. Ought to keep me out of trouble and off Craigs List.

Pulled over by Lake Matonga (sp) in Crandon and started reading one of the pig books. Bigz, they are the fifth smartest animal, after humans, apes, dolphins and whales. Perhaps that is why you can't see owning one ??????

Just kidding !!!! Don't worry, I'll bring you the pick of the litter piglet for the bash !!! When is it by the way ???

Got home in the rain and had to tend to all the outside critters. Sure wish I knew where my rain gear is !!!! DH must have put it someplace !!!!!

Of course I still had my "clean shoes" when I went to fill the water tank and it was surrounded with Mud !! I'm getting more barn shoes then I know what to do with !!!! God forgid I should have to go to a wedding or funeral !!!

Wish Mr Porky was neutered I'd get one of those girls but I certainly don't want piglets. At least not now. I would never be able to find good homes for them up here !!! And all of you guys are party poopers !!!!

Was just thinking tonight about what would happen to all of my animules if I should leave this earth. Need to update my will to include all my new critters.

Jim you get the peafowl, TO you get the roosters !!! Tiki you get the silkies and ............................. geez lots to think about !!!! Bigz you get the pig !!!

Dr Ha you can have all of the goats, you old goat you !!!

DH's cousins always used to buy ham hocks & bacon from a butcher & smoke/cure/whatever they did themselves, because they had built an awesome outdoor smoker. Like the size of a sauna. It rocked. They always kept our freezers stocked with smoked meats, so I am not one to be up on the pricing of what ham bases run.

We used to have a pet chicken in the city, and she'd sit on the back of the bench seat or on our knees or shoulders as we drove in the car. You could just read people's lips when we drove by. "Look at the chicken!"

Like it was some kind of a half-extinct creature or something.

Ok, eyes are burning. Time for bed. Sweet dreams, all!​

Reminds me of when I dressed my 5 little dogs (my sweet Xena, Lucy, Daisy, Muffin and Butt Dog) in their Halloween costumes and drove to a friends to show her !!! The kids especially liked them !!! They were dressed as a clown, bumble bee, lady bug, jail bird and pumpkin !!! Miss my girls

Just have to share this picture of my little baby Niece (Nieces baby) Adalyn Kenai (middle name, named after the Kenai River in Alaska where her parents vacation and honeymooned)

She is the light of our family. She turned 1 on December 3rd which is her Grandpa's birthday too !!!!
