Yep I forgot to mention about Majkowski before....remember his nickname was Magic7 ? I saw a guy in Appleton back then, with that on his license plates.

Warmer today, but the wind still has a bite to it.

Might have to start doing shots of DE...prolly live forever then!

Morning all!
It sure is a beautiful morning today!
The Girls are all doing well and Super Glue has decided to lay eggs. They are small and pathetic but still, I guess she is not as worthless as I though!

She goes into a nest box that I places om top of the rabbit cages to keep a tarp in place. I guess she has decided it is the place to lay, away from prying eyes and inquiring hens. I guess only she can pester the other hens while they are laying....*sigh*. She looks pleased as punch that she has her very own private nest box...silly thing.

Other then that, I got all the Christmas decorations down and packed away. I also changed out some old door knobs and latches on the storm door (latch) and the front screen door (knobs and latch). The front screen/storm door is ancient and needs to be replaced but it still works so that is good I guess.

Bubba The Barbarian is driving me crazy! Why did I think I needed a kitten! He takes more looking after then the dogs, chickens, and rabbits combined! Out of one thing and into 20!! He sure is a cute thing though and is very good natured although he sometimes "gets the Devil in him" as DH says. Case in point, I've already stopped typing this 5 or 6 times to go get him from places he's not supposed to get into. His favorite No-No place is the washer. If I leave it open even for a second to put stuff into it, I have to retrieve him from inside. Thank goodness he has not found the dryer as fascinating....Stupid Cat...Get off the key board......ARGH!!

Well on that note....I'd better get my chores done before I have to go walk Miss Mauka the Lab....

good morning,, I slept in today.. Annie did most of the chores.. I notice she let the dog in.. Nora is funny, whenever I look at her she thinks I am going to snap on her leash and take her back outside.. she avoids me like the plague..

the #2 gosling has a good hole in the egg.. I hope it doesn't give up.. I could really use a companion for #1.. It looks like a toulouse..

It sure sounds funny to hear us say, "when the weather gets nice",, meaning above 20F.. and then go to the other threads where they think their chickens are going to freeze and fall off the roosts if it gets down to 45F...

TO, you might be right about all the avatar pics changing with the current one..
I cannot post a picture on byc, so you all will have to use your imagination..
for your aid, I look a lot like Rock Hudson did in his early years, just only a little nicer.. I cannot come up with anybody more recent, because none of them can compare to my good looks and humility..

Think it's cool she found her own private spot. Ya know that's how BTB gets away with his naughtiness. Being so darn cute! Bigz I don't know how many times I've kept something for 10-20 years and finally thrown it out and a week later found the perfect use for it.

Man! I need to go ice fishing with him! I've NEVER had good luck ice fishing... A few pan fish, the occasional undersized pike...etc. Mostly sit in the shack by the heater - drinking beer and talking about "da big one..." Can't beat fresh walleye outta this cold water!

I was cleaning out the wood burner in the garage this morning and noticed that the 45 elbow connecting the stove to the upright flue is pretty much shot... I can poke my finger right through it. I might as well replace the whole run that leads to the stone chimney - It's only two 45's and about 5' of six inch. I guess I'll have check the chimney clean-out as well....

So I'll be out in the cold, twisting and bending my body into all kinds of weird positions trying to connect this darn thing. The stove is one of those Big Brown, sheet metal covered types that were popular way back... It's nestled into a corner with the flue connection in the back and down about 10." Moving it is a non-player.

I have to go out to the green house and see if there is a new rooster in there !!! OM ET ran into the neighbor (not really but wouldn't surprise me

) yesterday and the guy told him he put a Cuckoo Maran Rooster (that I knew I was getting) in the green house with my cuckoo hen and Ameraucana hens (from Jim) and the peafowl !!!
He said we weren't home so he just put it in there !!! Never called or anything !!! Wondering if it is dead some place or got out when the wind blew the door open !!! Now I'm wondering if that is why my peahen died ?????

He said he did it 2-3 weeks ago !!!

Geez !!! He doesn't understand quarantine or any of that stuff. I've tried to get him on here BYC but no luck !!! PS this isn't the guy I'm getting the Buffs and Orps from Tomski !!

Haven't looked at the map yet but will do tonight about our meet up !! My DE is dark brown btw !!! Mix with cocoa ????

I went to town yesterday and got supplies to make the nipple waterers but good old Maynards didn't have enough of the caps !!! So back to town in the other direction. This picture was taken when I found the shack on one of my road trips !! That isn't my house ! Just an FYI
It is only 4x8. It has 4 holes, one in each corner ! Just need to figure out how to get it on the trailer. Then there is only room for maybe one atv. But DH ET's is not being used anyway right now, don't get me started on that !!!

And some more fish. The fish shown were caught by 3 guys, not just OM ET. That would have been over the limit anyway right ? DrHA that would be quite the drive for you to go to that lake. It is way up by Eagle River !!! I'm not allowed to tell anyone about their Hot Spot !!!

Hopefully we'll be able to park our little hut on Pelican Lake for some crappy fishing using the tip downs !! That's fun !
