Thank you all so much for your sympathies and encouraging words.

You are all such wonderful friends. And thank you so much for all the laughs this morning too. I needed that, although my screen didn't need to be washed just yet.

You are so right, DrH, it is a circle. I just hope I don't bring any new babies into a disease-ridden area. (I need more nice weather so I can clean out there). But they will be inside for awhile, then moved to the garage until they are big enough to go out into the carport. I put newbies on the side with Jack & the rabbits so they can all see each other but not fight. Jack has always been a good father figure. He's very watchful of his young charges.

Best of luck to you in your hatch! I'm glad you said Baby and not B3, but I suppose that is yet to be determined at hatchtime, hmmmm?

You really made me laugh at your comment on Tomski's pic. DH said something very similar: "Yeah, I'd say lots of hard liquor is the only thing that would cause someone to touch lips with any of them!"

H&R, please tell your DS happy birthday! Another January baby. Good luck on your 2nd hatch too. Depending on how my hatch turns out, I may be interested in some of your Welsummers.

TO some cats just don't learn

Was thinking this morning that I didn't see a PM tag it's probably on here somewhere. So clears are 4 coop 1 barn, 1 unmarked which I think you said the unmarked were coop. Now up to 7 rockers 1 unmarked 4 barn, 1 coop, and Choo Choo. This is SOO coool! Gotta go check again and finish the dishes. Water is probably cold.

Sad to read about the deaths of your birds CC! I agree with the others though, it could just be old age. I lost a white hen last week too...no idea why. The same thing happened as yours; they just get lighter and lighter and huddle for a day and then "wake up dead." As FT's lecturer said....it is sad though for sure.

DrH--the one marked HO is from my partridge LF rooster "Hop-a-Long" and either a solid black hen or a black hen with red shoulders. I had a few hatch last year and they were gorgeous! Really BIG! The "B" egg is from my show bird pen...many interesting types in there! Can I ask you a favor? Could you PM the codes of the eggs that were clears? I have a few roos that I think are not doing their jobs! Good luck with the hatch! Cat wait to see what you end up with!

DD19 is going to Racine today to get water out of the Lake for the copepods at school. Her back has been out and I hope she doesnt hurt it worse pulling up the containers. She says it is easier when it is frozen cause then they make a hole in the ice and are at least on the same level...I dont feel too much better about that either! She says I worry too much...what's a Mother to do?

Did I mention that my brother sent me flowers for my birthday? He says it was his wife's idea...then DH brought me flowers too! Of course my dam^ cats spilled BOTH vases! It was like a swamp in here this morning! Why do cats have to spill flowers? And the more pertinent question...why do I always think that they wont?

You think I would learn....my floor is probably wondering what is up...getting mopped three times in a week? That is unheard of here! Well, I cant think of anything else I wanted to say...I guess I better get outside and let out the birdies. THey are going to be so surprised! Mine seem to enjoy the snow. Especially the ducks...those calls are so adorable--they pretend to be taking a bath in the snow...it is so funny to watch!

I hope your DD is careful too. The weather has been entirely too warm to be on any ice.
I used to have a cat that went out of his way to knock over any vase containing water. Drove me nuts. And DH still uses that as an excuse as to why he never gets me flowers.

I'm subscribed to this topic & have it set to notify me immediately when others reply, but I don't get hardly any e-mails at all. I just cleaned up my computer yesterday too. It takes a lot longer for pages to load too. And these changes are for the better, why exactly?

wow, I had no idea Jimbo wasn't using a computer. All he ever said was that he had MSN which you can have as your Internet browser on a computer. Weird !! Time for that man to buy himself a puter with all that chick money !!!
Well, not much snow up here. DH was going to take the truck to work his morning but at last minute changed his mind because he didn't think the keys were in it.
15 minutes after he left with the car he appears at the bedroom door asking to use my cel phone, he left his at work yesterday !!

Anyway, he said, "I went into a ditch on Hwy B" !!!!
He's fine, hope my car is !!! I asked if there was that much snow and he said no but the roads are glare ice !!!
So do be careful out there everyone ! Good thing the neighbor was home so he can go rescue him. (Then I didn't have to get dressed to try to help)
I helped out another black chick last night and this morning there was a white chick hatched. One of my Dutch had pipped last night but nothing this morning. I decided to help it as well but it was dead. I'm going to have to do some reading up on hatching Dutch bantams. They are one of the smallest of bantam chickens. Poor little fellow. He didn't have the strength or stamina to zip out.
Still have two more silke eggs and one more Dutch that haven't pipped and I didn't see movement.
I put the 10 eggs I got in the mail in the bator this morning !! Wish me luck. They weren't cheap eggs !!!
I will put in a few of my own later today as well.

WOW CC and TO, I have missed a few days due to work, but had no idea that there were so many deaths.. {{{Hugs}}}

My serama roo was crowing a little weak this a.m. or it was the younger one trying out his crow, Not sure which it was...
This snow is awful. I had to go from where I live to the far East side of madison (sun prairie) in this snow... bleh
I have another service call but it is at 5pm...so I am hanging out in a Denny's and then to the mall for a while.
I guess I can now see pics again.. I will have to be careful not to mess up to not hit what ever button I hit last time and
was unable to see pics or smileys...
Now back to work... I gotta find where my new up coming calls will be, (WE GOT THE MADISON CONTRACT!!!) woot woot!

Plus if you go to Preferences you can choose how many poster you have per page. Then you will have more posts to scroll thru while you are posting too !!

I'll be ****** if I can find that... I've found the preferences but there is nothing there about number of posts/posters per page...

When You are on the Forum click on Preferences, then a windown will come up saying Forum Preferences.

Second from the botton on the list will say "Post Per Page" The default is 10, I have mine set for 50

FT - Thanks! However, It's not there on my panel. Just got done reading a thread about why some of us don't have the ability... Bottom line: Admin is looking into it but obviously it's not their top priority. Can't wait till they get it done. What a PITA....
