Happy dance!

I checked on the eggs again today and I had movement in all 6! Aparently I didn't kill the one by putting it upside down!

I'm not counting my chickens before theyre hatched, but at least I won't have one lonely little chickie and that is a blessing!

Well, that's great! Congrats! And I agree not to get too excited yet. I kept my expectations low for my hatch, so when it finally happened, it was that much more happy. Best of luck to you!!!!

yeah, my heart just about stopped when it went down and wouldn't come up right away..... as I hadn't moved all the pictures off yet but after walking away for a bit very po'd at myself I was able to get it going again

First thing I did was moved the last couple of picture folders, they are now on our main desk top computer so they are in 2 places and safe. The lap top is the extra computer that I work off of from our kitchen table so that I can monitor the kids and help out with homework etc.... this way I am not stuck in the office all the time

No worries, I would still be able to post up picture updates!!

We got the rain/icy/slushy mix over night and for awhile this am- roads were very slippery this am and our kid's school were delayed by 2 hours this am which was a smart move. DH ended up going in early to take care of a clients driveway as it is very steep. DH loves the snow and would like more of it!!!!

Did you all get sleet and rain and snow down there? It was awful here yesterday and today rain sleet, snow, cold wind, shoveled slush for 2 hours this morning before it got cold enough to freeze it all down, yucky weather we are having this Jan. isn't it? I really want winter to just go back to the north pole with Santa every year.....that would make my day because after Xmas I'm ready for spring just about every year since I turned 40...........LOL
Well I hope everyone is dug out and warm tonight, it's pretty nippy with that wind up here. So try to stay warm ya'all..... Kim

Does anyone hear raise Midget white Turkeys? Awesome he is still doing turkeys and we go almost through there a couple times a year to go get hubbies Kids in IoWaa, I will call him and see when are good times for older hens and toms.... . Kept up with reading on and off. Working on my finances...I have some big decisions to make before March 1st....been working on that daily to the point of sore eyes. My income vehicle is about to retire and I have figure out how to create my income.

Sorry about the losses you guys have had.

Suzie has a cooling pad for her labtop...square thing that it sits on with little feet and fans that blow to keep it cool. Made by Belkin and only cost around $20. K-mart or amazon sells them..work really well.

Kinda sad the niners had to lose becuse of two special teams plays. I prolly won't watch the super bowl either....I don't care for either team.

I can't find anything. Already lost the remote for the TV AGAIN tonight ! I swear I'd lose my leg if I didn't have to park it next to the bed at night !!!

Speaking of vehicles. Our truck and trailer license are due at the end of the month, Shoot the car too. Anyway someone told us we can register our trailer (stock trailer) and truck as farm use and it would be cheaper. Anyone know about that? Anything to save a buck !!
No new chicks today, at least not that I know of. I'm hitting the hay early tonight cause i got jack done today. Wanna get an earlier start tomorrow (before dark right Cind)

DrH.... Sorry about little B. Yep, seems that often the ones that are a little special are often the ones that don't make it too.

TO... People should spend more time looking at where their food comes from. I don't know how many times I heard comments that they think "store food" is better, safer and cleaner.

I guess ignorance IS bliss!

Not so sure letting the chickens eat the smashed egg in the coop is a good idea. I would worry they would get the taste for "fresh" laid eggs. Although I have let them have shell less ones in the coop.

CC... It is cute when the "guys" pretend they don't care... then you catch them like that.

Angie... Glad Wally seems to be feeling a little better! Not to scare you but, sleeping all the time was the only symptom Sissy had. At least Wally is waking up to eat!

FT... Congrats on the anniversary! Yep, If it weren't for the chickens I don't think I would make it up before dark sometimes!
