Hey everyone
Yucky cloudy day here today the Weather dude said 40 felt like 20 here all day bbbrrrrr I can't seem to get warm, was just out feeding the horses and chickens, and I think It will take me an hour to warm up.... Is spring here yet.... anxious to start working on some chicks and my garden....... I guess I can't complain too much winter hasn't been awful like most years, but sick of being cooped up in the house.... during the summers I ain't never in, just to make meals for the guys, otherwise I can find something to do all day long.
So I thought I would post this again..... \
I have a really nice White Wyandotte rooster, to give to a good home, I will be headed down to pick up some Wellies, from Hens and roo's, near Madison pretty soon and I could drop him off on the way if someone would just give this sweet guy a new home.. He is a good roo watches over the girls great even when they nest he sits by and guards them, you can handle him, he doesn't even fuss, trim nails check over whatever he's pretty laid back. and a nice big boy too a good 10 lbs, with an awesome Rose comb..... He just isn't in my breeding plans, only have 1 other Wyandotte a silver laced, all my others were boys. If I had gotten 4 girls I would keep him, but I have plans for the chickens I have decided to use for eggs and breeding, and he isn't 1 of them. So please consider Fred as your new protector......... here he is

Yah it sure is partly why I keep him he is so darn cute with that comb..... my other rooster loves it as well it's easy to grab hehe he has a couple chew marks on it if you look close.....when GrayBeard gets him its a pinch, but usually enough to make it bleed just a tad....... Poor guy another reason I want to find him a good home, GB picks on him soemtimes.....LOl

Good evening everyone! Great chick picks Bigfam! They all look pretty similar; I cant wait until they start to feather out to see the difference! Hey DrH--let's have some pics of the "ugly ones!" I love when they start looking like dinosaurs! DH just asked, "do we have a chicken somewhere in this house?" Guess he finally heard the roo crowing in the basement! I didnt get them out during this warm spell...maybe tomorrow?
Made some spaghetti for supper tonight...I wasnt hungry so I figured that I would make it for DH and DD25. Something that was really easy to do quickly! DD says it was delish...used some salsa and some tomato paste that was LO in the fridge. Maybe that helped it...I dont really care for it myself.

I bought nipples to make waterers too FT and Bigfam. I cant find them now...bought all the stuff to make an auto waterer with toilet parts. Maybe I can find them this summer? I did make a simple one with a DG water pitcher. It worked pretty well in the pen with the chicks...but then it started leaking...good thing they were ready to go outside anyhow.
Well, I have to go and see what is up with the Discover card...DH says he tried to use it for lunch and it didnt work...cripes--I have to d everything! Terri O

Evening All...just got home from the meeting. Only 10 bread rolls left out of 4 dozen.... they must of been pretty good.

Took a walk back to the woods today....we had a pair of wolves walk through about 100 yards from the house....delivered eggs to the neighbor and he said he saw the tracks at his place too. The one must be a male with huge tracks and the other must be a female I'm thinkin.

Pretty cool about makin the top 10 raim...thanks for the heads up on that.

Never got around to my flu shot. Long as I manage to stay out of the hospital I should be OK in a couple days.

Its ok CC... I am thinking of starting a chicken photography business and for a very large fee your chicks too can be popped into various settings... barns, tractors, construction vehicles, sesame street houses, sand box toys, etc etc...

You can believe that I am going to try something new with my chickies! Just wait until I start putting them in aprons and little Amish bonnets... you'll LOVE it...
