FT-If you are on the I90-I39 going south out of Madison and headed to Brodhead going through Janesville, I right off the freeway very near Edgerton. Think WCc and Kristi are on the other side of Stoughton (or Brooklyn to be more accurate!) from where I'm at.

Not sure if your a member but Costco has some terrific tops are great prices and they all come with free tech support.

Quick question.... Storkey is broody again (2nd full day). Last time she held her brood for the whole 3 weeks + with me taking the eggs. That was her first brood. Do you think she will hatch the eggs if I held off giving her fertile eggs until the first? Jim... are those Thia hens good mothers? She acts like she would be.

We had our first chicken death today. Followed a few hours later by the second death. Something got at them. The first one was found this morning with it's head pulled nearly completely off and drug back into a small 2 inch hole in the wall. I thought rat. But then this afternoon another chicken came up dead with a broken neck. So now I'm not sure what got at them. Ideas? These were our almost 3 month old teenagers.

first, that is really too bad and feel your pain...

So on to the animal that ate your chickens sounds like a weasel, maybe a rat but more than likely a weasel. If you think thats what it might be I can show you how to catch and kill it if interested.

So this chicken train is tenatively leaving at 8am. Last call, does anybody in the area I'm headed want or desparately need any roosters ?? LOL

I'm picking up some mixed geese eggs for $1 each. And some mixed breed duck eggs for $.50

Hey Jim, are you looking for anything down that away or need something delivered ? Seeing as you were nice enough to get my cages for me I owe you one.
Are you looking for any peafowl of any kind. This guy has some. He also has a mix of White Chinese Geese, Brown Chinese geese and Sebastapols. Just gave away my secret as to what I'm getting didn't I ?

His duck eggs are a mix of several varieties. He said their are some really unsual colors.

I'll bring my lap top with and stop at McDonalds so I don't have BYC Cheesehead Withdrawals !! Plus my cel with me.

Going to be a long long day but I like road trips. My ATM cards came in the mail. member I had frauduent activety. They said they mailed new cards on Feb 24th. Never got them. Friday I called and basically gave them the finger !!! (in Docs terms) and they sent new ones and waved the $30 expidited charge. How nice of them !!!

Got them in two business days. Finally. It was pure you know what not having them.

If I recover from this trip, I will be going down to Milwaukee on Friday for my Doctor appointments. May as well get all this traveling over with so I can come home and enjoy the weather. Now watch it will snow next week.
So if anyone down that a way would like any of the eggs, or my roosters just holler. I'd have to meet you some place since I'm probably coming back home Saturday, Sunday at the latest.

Ok, I'm tired already just thinking about all of this. Got to wind down so I can get to sleep.

Bigfam, is I 39 go past the dells? I usually go down 45 towards Milwaukee when I go to Racine so going down I 39 thru Madison isn't my usual route.

Anybody have Call Duck eggs for Jim I can pick up for him ?

nice afternoon all! feel like I didn't get much done today

think I wiped out the lap top computer

this afternoon, the mouse is frozen and won't move( mouse is controlled by a touch pad). It has been having problems lately with shutting down on us and all sorts of other fun stuff. DH dumped the system and reloaded software but that didn't help much. Was so hoping not to have to replace it any time soon but it's probably 5 years old now........
Our White peacock has added to the sounds he makes- starts out making a buzzing/honking sound and ends it with a caw type sound. Started this yesterday and just about sent the dogs through the floor

have to get the kids eating- religion class tonight.

H&R, if you need a new laptop, check out TigerDirect. You can get amazing systems for much less than the cheapest computers offers at Sam's or Costco. They are refurbished business returns, so nothing wrong with them at all. Picked one up for myself (writing on it right now) and have had no problems with it.

Jim, do you want me to wait until I no longer have pullet eggs before I send you some? They usually do not take too long to change from pullet to normal size. Another 2 eggs today, when they are all laying it should not take too long to fill up a carton or two. I'll keep you posted.

Chops on the grill tonight with homemade applesauce, american fries, and California blend of veggies. Then my DD decided we should run..... thought I was going to lose my dinner a few times out there, but I got 'er done!

Work tomorrow, you all enjoy yourselves out there before the rains come.
