Nice day here! My oldest daughter spent the night with her Great Grandma last night after going to some mother/daughter thing at Eagles? Or something like that. I don't know exactly. Great Grandma is 93, so it's a really special thing for my kids to be able to spend time with her! She still lives alone, gets around great, does tons of baking, she's amazing!
Anyway, I had to go get her picked her this morning and then I got my daughters results to her Scantron test. she did really well! She's in 3rd grade and scored Advanced in Reading and very high, almost advanced in Math. Then my friend, Jen came and worked in the garden for a bit while her kids entertained mine. She got another 2 rows of potatoes planted and some more carrots, then her and I watered everything. The ground is SO dry!
I picked up some sweet potatoe starts today. Not sure yet where to plant them. I had my garden all planned out with all the viney stuff down on one end. I'd like to put the sweet potatoes down there too but I'll have to wait til hubby gets back to til up a couple of rows for me there.
So far, here's what all we've got growing- Everything organic and most of it is also Heirloom stuff I started from seed.
