Good Morning Everybody! Think you have a contest winner there Amyable! Forgot to mention that Mom and Dad looked better than they have the last few times I've seen them. But they were pretty beat from a day of confirmations. Watched the beans pop through the soil yesterday and swear they were growing an inch an hour. The cuc's have made a showing too! The wind blew the gate down and the kids helped themselves to the broc and cabbage leaves but nothing serious. Was gonna make some wood today but Taz puked on about half the rugs this AM so I get to clean those up then think I'll do the weed eatin. Babykins was sooo glad to see me! It's weird she doesn't like to be picked up but as soon as I sit down she's right in my face and I mean right in my face. She loves to have me stick my nose in her feathers. She smells so good! If the roo's chase her she hides between my legs and I swear she sticks her tongue out. Real windy yesterday and then the front came through and I watched the thermo drop 20*. Felt cold after that.

Suppose I better get movin!

Beautiful Morning All!!
It's so nice outside, we have a little snap in the air...reminds me of fall!!
Barely even 8 and I've already had the day....Who Bear aka Gracie decided to roll in something stankie first thing this morning. She smelled disgusting! So even before the dogs breakfast, I had to give her a bath-at 6:15am. After they eat I went out side to try to figure out what it was she found so delightful and there it was...a dead baby robin or some type of bird...slimy and gross

I' not on FB much...at the moment. My level in FB interest comes and goes directly related to the weather and seasons! But is anyone is interested you can find me. Heather Rollo Lockhart. That is me. I'm was on Twitter too but never ever go there. FB took enough of my time!

Then I've spent the rest of the morning refing between BTB and the Dogs cat hunts...Man something just crashed in the kitchen and BTB and Fred shot out like they were no where near the crash...

Big Fam-Get with Dh for next years water gun fight...he can be on your team...I mean he can help you "direct" kids to where the good trees are to hide behind....

BigZ-TO took the white elephant home but not worries, DH is already planning on raffle items for next year! He had a ton of fun and I hear the words scratch blocks a lot.....

Tom-That was a beautiful plaque you made!

More to say but I best go look in the kitchen and view the wreckage....

I think I am finally caught up on sleep.... but woke up so much last night I can't really tell.

Had to scrap the photo shoot last night, besides the nasty wind, my photographer had the water pump go out at his house so I can't really expect him to come and shoot pics for free when he has a issue like that!

Fattie is not looking good today. He is sleeping on the bed with me right now. He feels pretty warm to me and instead of looking jaundiced, his ears look rather red.

He just barely drank a tablespoon of milk from my cereal bowl..... ugh, this sucks. I hate making these types of decisions, only because I have to deal with the kids reactions.....

Since I have not gotten to my weeding like I should have 3 weeks ago..... I better get my butt out there. You will never be able to see my flowers due to the amount of crab grass......

Sorry I know there was more but my brain is mush right now. Ugh just spent the last hour on the phone with the state of Illinois over DH's childsupport and I still didnt get anywhere with them. i swear the state hires only people who have no clue what so ever about their job. Oh well I guess my next step will be email or a letter.

I need to get outside a week a bit today, I kept putting it off all weekend. We had a 4-H meeting last night and tie died 4 leaf clovers on some tshirts. It was pretty fu, I havent tie died in years. DD decided what she was going to enter at the fair.. Chocolate Tangerine Cannoli Cupcakes mmmmm I need to buy the stuff so she can do a few test runs. She seen the cuocake on Cupcake wars and insisted she make it. Other than that, nothing new going on here. I hope everyone has a great day.

good morning,, I went to bed early as well.. too many posts to read, so I will take a chance that there is nothing earth shattering that I will miss..

You know the bash was a huge success when you are looking forward to the next one even before you leave the present one..

It was interesting to me to see the children from the year before show up again.. and to watch the kids who were never there before , just sort of stand around at first, and then loosen up and have fun.. and they learn a few things , too.. like "close the door".. eh TO ?

I let my two new hens go shortly after I got home.. there was no pecking order incidents at all.. I guess there are too many chickens to notice a new one..
that white leghorn hen stands out like a sore thumb in my colored flock..
there was a Delaware egg in the crate when I got home..

I do not belong to facebook, nor do I want to.. cheeseheads gives me more than enough time online..

I laid in bed for awhile replanning how I am going to replant my garden.. specifically the potatoes.. I am going mechanized.. one batch of blisters was enough for one year.. I really wish I had not sold my pull behind planter.. even for the few that I plant.. (70 pounds of seed)

I ran into a lot of hail on the way home from the bash.. It was about dime sized in diameter..

OK, cuppa is gone,, better get out and start on my summer chores.. It is going to be busy here from here on out..

Morning everyone

thanks so much to all who had such sweet things (and prayers) about my BF. She is still with us this morning but not much longer. At least it is clear she no longer in any pain and resting comfortably. Her daughter says she must be waiting for something/someone but we can't figure out ???? I think because of all the prayers I, and all the family, are doing better this morning. Thank you all again.

On lighter notes~it has really helped reading about how much everyone had this past weekend! Wow

Maybe it's best I couldn't make it. I am not sure it was a survivable occasion for us older grannies

Still sounded like TONS of fun tho'! BUT please, please post more pics, ok? Was the bash at Hartman Creek? My kids and I used to volunteer at a "Special" citizens camp that took place there every year when we lived in Clintonville back in late 70's early 80's.

Noticed several of you chatting about Abendroth's Hatchery. Do they have a catalog? I am trying to collect as many of them as possible for WI for reference as well as using as "visual reference" as I "mention" to my poor hubby about expanding our little flock~shhhhh~

Poor sweet city boy~hehehe.

Ok, wind's laying down a bit so I should be able to clean the coop without yucky stuff flying everywhere so no excuse to not get busy now, darn. Hopefully I can get my tomatoes out of my little greenhouse and into the ground tomorrow finally. We are still supposed to frost tonight, sigh.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone else (unfortunately we live where most of the crazy people from the city come to for the holiday so we just hide)

it's true that we decided on a weekend for next years bash BUT BigZ has to talk with the camp to find out if camp is available that week. if not its gonna end up being mid June

Tomorrow is DS 12th bday and he came home already this morning from school, not feel good. HOPEFULLY its just from the LONG weekend
DD looked wilted Sun morning as we were packing up. I think it was the heat. she perked up after we gave her some gatoraide and got her wet. but on the way home we had to stop on the road cause she looked green (like she was gonna puke) she didn't thankfully. got her home and with more gatoraide and rest she was back to herself. musta scared TO and her DH when we pulled over cause they stopped too. I feel so loved lol
all in all the kids had fun. I reached my braking point with that computer, it's gone now (as of Sunday morning before they even woke up lol.) I know I know I should of takin it away sooner. it's staying home and will never see the outdoors again. (2 oldest spent the weekend on it)

we came home with the rest of TOs 'scovie ducklings lol just to have some OTHER colors lol
TO when we got home I took the 'scovies out by my calls and crested. just to see what they would do and to see if I could get away with having them all together. I set them in the coop and they were all like FRIENDS! so they all are together WITH a light. outside where critters belong lol
when we got home we fixed up something different for the ducks they had the duck coop floor so wet that the floor buckled. its dried out now and fixed and will now be called the silkie coop (as soon as we put the silkies in it) we converted the dog house into a duck coop lol cut out the floor and added in a wire floor. that will be temp. until we can build a different coop.
I got sun burned while packing up on Sunday. It sucks.
IDK what else to say I'm just so tired.
I have to clean, DS has friends coming over tomorrow for his bday.
