I had to rescue a sparrow in a restaurant yesterday.... the employees were trying to catch it with a bus tub and salad tongs....

boneheads.... I asked for a glove, the manager told me that they would not be held liable if anything happened to me..... seriously, did they think the bird would gouge out my eyes??? All I wanted was a glove (which was given to me), caught the bird, took it outside and released it. I promptly removed the glove like you would a contaminated glove, and I washed my hands. Case closed. I did end up with free food out of the deal.... and of course a great story!

-For Cocci: Corrid or Sulmet?

-How young can you use Sulmet/Corrid on chicks?

-Does anyone know anything about vet measurements on cocci/worm counts when testing?

-Any input on Strongyle worms? (Chickens are in old horse area-I read this is more of a horse worm issue)

DrH, so glad you've got Bob back!

Now I need positive thoughts for one wayward kitty here. Coal, that little black kitten we rescued last summer, is now a young man and has been going on walkabouts lately. He's been MIA for about 5 days now and we are thinking he won't return.

What is it with male cats? That's how we lost Jerry, and he was even neutered.

Angie, I have no answers to your questions, hope someone can chime in.

Fair registrations are due soon, gotta decide what to enter on photos, and maybe if there is a category for blown eggs. I think I missed the window for veggies already. Speaking of photoging, anyone hear from dkvart lately?

Spent the morning cleaning up. Took down a tree close to the house, thought it would take out a window but instead took out my clothes line. Good thing rope is cheap I do 3 trees a day. I take the hardwoods first as that way I wont lose the more valuable firewood. Soft wood is everywhere and if it rots, no big loss. Next couple days I may only get to one tree as those temps are going to be extreme in the woods. Monday I took one chainsaw in for repairs so I am royally screwed if this other one kicks the bucket, also bought new work boots. Original price was $169.98, getting them for $120 talk about a deal! Next week Monday I'll be picking them up along with the other saw.

Soap business is going well too. Went international with sales this past weekend and my new soap will be lilac, a special summer run only as lilac oil doesn't keep long. By the end of summer I'll have 28 different types of soap so the assortment is huge and cheap as I still keep my 5+ ounce bars at $3.50 a bar. But I wont get to making any more soap till I get some of these trees around the house as I don't need any landing on the house.

Sounds like the soap is coming around for you.

Start early on the clean up it's supposed to get insane out there. Hydration! BL4 I've been waiting for a BM from him, would think if there were internal probs he'd be bleedin from there. Nothing either way so far but he hadn't eaten in almost 2 days either. So it should be soon. Doesn't cry when I run my hand along his belly. Think he's gonna make it and that's good cause I'm gonna KICK HIS ASH as soon as he's well enough to take it.

L will be home in a few she HAS to try the new washer. Got it all set up with not the least little leak

Bought some "new to me" shark something fittings. I'm impressed! Basically pushlock that work on copper, pvc, and Pex. Waay too easy! Kinda like not having to get up out of the chair to change the channel. Most on here won't get that.
