Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

oh and these are the new chicks. Dad was a cuckoo marans and moms were either marans, dominique(thinking the blacker one) or black sex link. Either way they are cute... oh and both were standard sized eggs but the blue baby is smaller than the black one and is 2 days older. Still working on names... my son really wants another Pirate (BF4M has our old pirate) but I dont know a good name, preferably girly to go with it. Otherwise might be Phineas and Ferb. Momma BO is Eggie. ( We have a star wars brood, princess and super heros and a bumblebee from transformers... I let the kids name them!)

So cute love the baby chicks! We named our blue silkie blueberry my daughter named her that but my son said if it is a boy then it's name is smurf and he wants a smurf et for the blue chick. So they both call it different names lol. Your son takes good pictures. Your BO is really nice looking also.

I love my goats, but they're p!ssing me off. The little shmitts keep going in the coop and eating all the chicken feed!!! I wondered why they were starting to look a little thick in the middle. Problem is, they are free to roam, and so are the chickens during the day. If I close the door to the run, the chickens can't free range. If I leave it open, the eff!ng goats are in there eating the feed. Stupid things!!!!!

And you know what? A bunch of the chickens go into the goats kennel to eat THEIR chow and pick through the hay in there! The chickens aren't supposed to do that, cause they're leaving a huge mess on everything : this is in the pole shed with some of the kids motorized toys... Dang chickens AND goats!

Oh and the chickens in the backyard finishing up their 30 day quarantine go and eat all the Duck food! It's a freakshow over here...

I totally noticed Robin was missing. I was going to call the police if she didn't post yesterday. She's very lucky she did.

(worse yet, I would have CALLED her) :D

She thought no one noticed her Mia and missed her... :p

Nice pics folks...Kristi I think you have a future photographer on your hands.

Well Doc, no Coal yet. I find myself unconsciously checking the porch and the wood shed, his fave spots. We think he is gone for good, but what a dance I'd do if I saw him strolling over the bridge. I guess that's the way it is with outdoor cats. We need the mousers.

I keep telling DH we need goats to brushhog the woods. Our neighbor up the road has a pair, they never leave the yard, and they're surrounded by cropfields. I think they may have used an invisible fence on them. Would that even work on goats??

Over on the crazy egg chain is an offer of crested duck eggs. I'm tempted, but do I want ducks hatching at end of July?

I noticed CC was silent. Glad to have her back.
