I have my chives planted in a pot on my back patio. Never do anything with them, just leave it out there year round. They haven't died yet. Of course, I don't know how well they, or the pot, would survive your lawn mower.

Yikes Bigz, I hope your DDs fiance is feeling better real soon. I've got to than you for posting that link to the waterer. I ordered one and it just came yesterday.

I'll be putting it out by the girls in the morning, so we'll see how they like it. I just hope they don't get it too filthy when it's FULL. It's huge!

Didn't get a whole lot accomplished today other than running out cold water to the chickens and birdbaths all day long. I had the energy of a gnat today, and a headache too.

I think the heat is taking it's toll. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little cooler. Stay safe, everyone, and sweet dreams!

I just took 5 more guineas out of the hatcher.. and now a new batch of Marlene's eggs is starting to hatch.. they are marked 7/6 so I guess they are due .. just spotted another one at the door.. think I will transfer it into the TV and head upstairs for a brewski.. maybe even 2 .. the turkey is just about out.. hope he doesn't give up ..

has anybody else noticed the great abundance of spider webs all over the place ? I am getting sooooo sick of running into them.. I get all itchy afterwards.. I am talking about BIG ones.. they take up the whole width of a doorway and almost half way down.. right at face level..

Well I am still alive, the birds are alive, the babies I hatched out are all still alive and at the barn, I think they will need one more day with the fans running and then they
should be good for the week.
I think I finally have a real job, I answered an ad on the CL and it turned out to be a big chain auto parts store. I went in for a 1st interview, then I had to go home
and fill out an online application, and do an assessment test and most if it was mind flogging simple... ugh...
Like 'true or false- do you believe most adults will have stolen something in their lives.'... I mean really??

OK I'm gonna say Good Morning Everyone even though it's still hot out there. Cind so glad to hear kitty made it home! Bob is getting better I know this because he's starting to be a pain in my backside. He needs to put on about 7lbs. Vic I don't know it seems when I wash my birds that their feathers get all loose.

TO congrats on all your ribbons! What did you enter? Bigz that sucks about the tick bite! Hope he gets through it OK! It really ticks me off [pun intended] So many false positives and negs. Crappy tests. WCc hope you get that job!

Sounds like you'll ace the test. Fill it out and don't return it. When they ask you where it is tell em you stole it. Think Sparky's days are numbered he's bein a real pain to get in the coop at night. Peatwo trys to get him in but he takes it as an assault. Donny needs a new roo. Hmmm. 70 something out there already. Really looking forward to some cooler mornings. Fresh carrots and onions going in a beef stew today.

good morning, watered everybody last night so all I had to do was throw some feed at them this morning and I am back in drinking my cuppa..

we has a bit of rain this morning.. a little more than enough to wet the dust good..

Annie just called from Mosinee.. It is mistiing there..I can see at least 6 guineas looking at me from the hatcher.. I didn't check on the turkey yet..

the peas are ready to be picked.. boiled peas in the pod.. we make a kettle of them and that is all we eat,,, sort of like popcorn...

My grandmother's family came from County Cork also. Small world. We used to go to Irishfest when we lived in Milwaukee, many moons ago. And Germanfest too for DH. I miss the music and food too!

hi folks,

got an inch of rain last evening in about 45 mins,,,another nice sunny morning and today high around 80º,,,purrrfect

dug a couple potato plants to check progress, a nice set going this year,,,,baby reds on the dinner menu along with broccoli salad, salmon on the grill

no excuses today for not getting another few hrs in the gh,,,,,,when things take off in there it's wayyyy to easy to get behind

still treating that pullets eye,,,,got some Teramycin from a friend, day 3 on that, still kinda iffy but doesn't crust shut,,,,she sure is friendly now

Irish here as well,,,so on that note off to raw fry a few of the new spuds and make some "over easy" to go along with
