I am going to have to sell my Penedesenca rooster... he is 3.5 months old and starting to feel his oats. I already have a BCM rooster for the BCM hens, and a silkie rooster for the bantams... so 2 is enough. I was going to take a photo of him last night, but time slipped away and by 7:30 it was to dark already

OMG poor little fella.......:lau.......... looks like he was in one heck of a fight,. doesn't it? when some molt they truely MOLT!!.......Mine chickies are all a year and half or so and have never molted like that, I have bare backed hens but I also have a feather picker and 2 rooster for 19 hens. Sooooo will see if they actually molt this year.....
This is actually how AI feel today.................LOL Bugsy is being force fed with a syringe, he is still drinking water, but they are also giving him fluids, vet said they are keeping another day...........OMG this bill is gonna kill me, I hope Adam gets a job quick when school is done, we are gonna be way behind by October 12th.....


TerriO. The Blocker tie ring is an awsum tool....can't say enough about it to tell you how well it works. CC - He did get the parts through work but I'll ask him if there is something similar you can get from Amazon or someplace. Once they are full grown I only plan on having 12 - 14 chickens in there. Right now there are 2 bantams in the group too.

Jim - He can order through their suppliers and actually pay for the parts so no worries... but I do get what you mean. Oh, and Craigslist does have a Pet catagory, it's under Communities.

Kristi - I got meal worms at FF about a month ago. Over by the birdseed, on sale too! I think it was the Kaytee brand.

Holy Cheeseheads!! I didn't realize there were this many Wisconsinites on Backyard Chickens!! Wow!! I exhibited chickens at the Waushara cty fair, and got a red, and 2 whites. :)
 
Good AM< Dora was here this AM,, she looked like she needed a cigarette..The pups are in their kennel,,, Prince is still dead..

Yes Kim, the naughty pup with the blue collar,, If it weren't for him, I do not think the red collar one would even give the chickens a second look.. In fact, he did not join in on the fun and he was only 10 feet away..
DD#2 ordered some shocking collars.. I would much rather use them, than beat the dogs.. They do not associate the shock with the guy pushing the button.. all they know is that if they do what they are doing and get a shock, they associate the action with the shock.. Dora has taken to standing on the blacktop road.. that is really scarey..

Annie should be here soon with do-nuts for B"fast..
first cuppa is gone..

Cassie, Annie used to work at GR Heck .. she was a number cruncher.. time scheduler.. It was a very stressful place to work back then..

I just took an order for a pup from Dora's next batch of pups... Next spring..
