It was worth a shot

It was a couple of years ago when my son did it, and I would have have thought more places would offer it now. The car seat they got with the rental was a better one than they owned and I think was $10 a day but had a $50 deposit which they deducted when they returned the car (and the seat).

Every time I have flown with my angels now 2 and 6, the boosters and car seats have flown free. We check them with luggage. They bag em and tad em for free.

Thanks- that is what I was wondering. I took a good luck at it tonight again and it looked normal. Must be going in and out....

if you can keep her separated from the others and maybe in an area that is darker- this will give her time to heal

The world would be a quieter place if they would check the children for free! I'm going to take the 5 point on for the 3 yr old and strap him in it. I think he will do better if using that (and he cant unbuckle it and escape!)

ALERT ALERT: I needs the chicken knowledge fairy, or someone equally as good in treating Babe. I went out there tonight and picked him up for a pat (trying to get him a bit more tame). There is a huge red bald lump. I took pics. I put antibiotic ointment on it. I put him in the basement with a heat lamp. He does feel like he has a fever. What do you think it is? what do you think caused it? and What antibiotics should I get to treat it? (a MLH specialty) Here are the pics...










Any ideas and suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks friends

Well I received my first Hate Mail letter today..... COWARDS!!!!! If they think sending me an anonymous letter is going to get me to stop.... they have no idea. What a FANTASTIC little town I live in!!!!

MLH, thank you so much for sending your DH my way! He gave a great talk, unfortunately NONE of the people against this came to the meeting. He even brought Elvis which was great, I just wish our Librarians would have been a tad bit NICER..... I will say they DID put out books on raising chickens in town, that was very nice and was not asked of them.

Just finished cooking and freezing about 30+ lbs of sweet corn...the chickens are going to love the cobs in the morning. Ive been giving them as many ears as I feel like picking for them-this is the fun time of year where there is much tomatoes, pears, apples, corn, etc as I want to give them!
More tomoatoe soup and salsa making in the near future!!!

BabyLady: Did you have many show up? Were there many new/wanting to get chicken people? I heard on the news this morning that Stillwater (MN) is having a town council meeting tomorrow at the city hall-thought of you.

BigFam: No idea what that is-Ouch...a burn (touched hot metal on one of our 90 + days or a scrape of some kind? Is it hard or squishy?

Question: When reaching under my broody hens for eggs (Feather missing on chest-so can feel their skin)...Ive noticed a peculiar thing the past few days: their breast seems to shiver in waves its like they clench one side then the other-in shivers? Anyone else ever noticed this? Also seems like its been since these colder days when my hands are cold. Wonder if its some kind of built in warmth heat wave or something? odd.

Good PM, I quit giving my opinion on chicken care and maintenance.. too many people take it as a challenge..

Adam, I reamed out that cable end with an Alan wrench, then JB Welded it and crimped it.. I think it will hold this time.. I also made all the spark plug wires..

went to a birthday get together for one of the card players tonight.. I came home early.. He ended up in the hospital, so I figured it was not worth hanging around..

Tommy's leg must be getting better.. He made it up onto the roost tonight..

I have a chance to get about 10 yards of horse manure, free for the hauling.. I don't have a manure spreader, but I do have a super large trailer.. I have been thinking of putting side racks on it anyhow.. this might be the incentive I need to do that project..

I have been trying to get my printer to work to print a couple of those schematics.. No dice.. I will have to take pen in hand and do it the old fashioned way..

Russel just happened to have a Fjiord wiring hand book in his truck tonight.. but it was for 6 Volt and generator/Magneto .. Similar, but not quite the same..
