Keep us posted on how Donny is doing.

Found a great place on line (tarpaflex) for clear 14 mil reinforced tarps to go on the fence around my run. Still haven't figured out how to cover it tho. Definitely needed better pre-planning there. Oh well, have the winter to sit and figure out a better design for next year. Would have loved to run to FF and buy some 2x4's and put up a frame but my DH sold the truck!!!

Rain rain go away I have things to do today!!!

Question~I have some ideas but curious what all of you do for greens for your girls (and boys) in the winter time. Also, is it still ok to worm this late in the year ? (picking up the Wazine today to do before the Valbazen as recommended because these girls were never wormed)

That reminds me. for those of you who give wild bird suet blocks to your chooks as treats (mine love em) Menards has them on sale 2 for $1 this week. going to stock up when we go in town today.

Alright, DH is beginning to circle like a hungry vulture so I guess he's ready for breakfast

as I was saying : DrH,, we are all pulling hard for Donny.. best friends just don't happen every cay.. like CC says, grab a baseball bat..

I like your "peanut butter surprise" recipe..

Cind.. right on about your own eggs.. (I don't like mine half cooked, though)..

FT, see? it's not so hard to come back .. peace and serenity to you and yours..

there was more, but I an NOT going to go back and look..

I have a mechanic/neighbor who does nothing but tractor repairs coming to give me a hand.. IDK exactly when,, some time this week..

Kim,, we are going to butcher this weekend for sure.. even if we have to do it in the kitchen..
According to the gospel of St. Annie...

there is a big sale at one of the grocery stores today.. chicken for $1.25/lb . Annie said, "But I am not going to buy any." I THOUGHT " DUH !!" see how smart I got after 49 years of marriage ? just nodded my head ..

Frenchie.... Sorry about Auntie. But at least she doesn't have to be crabby in heaven.;). And I'm more than happy to harass you when needed. No ones been giving you sh!t for quite sometime and I'd say you're due:D

I'm ready for a nap. I guess I better get coffee in me. Or else I'll be asleep by noon!

good morning folks,

good you see you checking in FT,,,sorry for your loss

I had a great aunt that had a foul mouth/great heart like your aunt,,,my grandpa always said that"St Pete welcomed her with open arms and a bar of soap"

working on the garlic beds trying to get that off the list,

got sidetracked yesterday and dug the last 200# of taters(these are for our use) I will run through that area with the cultivator that always finds another couple of buckets,,,tried 3lbs of Yukon Gold seed and didn't harvest any until yesterday ,,,was pleasantly surprised all about baseball size and good yield. My russets sucked this year I need to find my old notes on varieties I've had the best luck with b4 spring,,,reds did well as always

anyone grow horseradish? I have some random plants that I plan to dig and get an actual row started, these have been ignored for years,,,,after the garlic this is the next fall planting. I have an area prepped but I'm thinking it might be pretty shady the up side is that area will retain moisture better than the rest of the open field.

ok,,,time to find a snacker since I skipped breakfast

Mornin all !!

Thanks for all of the condolence's. Yes Auntie will be missed. She was a very smart head strong woman (whom I take after by the way)lol. She knew something about everything. Don't know how many times I"ve called her for advice. From A to Z she had the answers. Guess there is a plus side to not getting hitched !!! She had to do everything for herself. My dad and her were the closest. They both worked at JI Case Co and of course he was there for her whenever she needed a hand. A few months back my sister drove her van up here. She gave it to me. My brothers friend offered her $2ooo for it and she said I'll give it to Sandi before I sell it for $2ooo. I think of her every time I drive it. She used to call me up and ask what I was having for lunch. I"d say don't know, then she'd say wanna go to Dirty D's? (Durango's Pizza). Yep, then she'd pick me up or meet me there. Would sit there for a few hours. Then maybe go to Fleet Farm. She loved that store. She would buy new clothes every time she went. To bad I don't like pink, purple or bright colored slacks. Not to mention they would be high waters on me !!! LOL The van is a '99 with about 70k miles on it. It has several (spots) where Auntie has backed into things and the side mirror needs replacing. What the h3ll... it gives it character right !!! lol
Boy I'm going to miss her !!! It is easier on me then my sister because I moved up here. My sister has been caring for her since and had the medical poa. We have one Aunt and uncle left then my generation is the oldest. Boy this sucks getting old.

I was going to post a few weeks ago about my trip down to Racine and getting pulled over by the State Patrol. I'll save that story for another day.

My new critter is more plural !!! Their names are Fifi and Donny !!! A pair and yes I mean a pair. Donny has b@lls the size of well let's just say you guys would be jealous of his whole "package" !!!! LOL
So we shall see, might have a baby from them next year !!!
She is spotted and he is dark brown. Had to go to Pickford MI for them. 300 miles one way. Bought her and they gave me him. I'm trying to send pictures but for some reason it keeps saying to try later ????? Weird. So until I can post pictures you'll all have to sit in suspense !!

Oh and I also have a new doggy. My sister brought me one of my Aunt's dogs. Dolly. She is a black & white (notice a color theme going on here) bischon/shitzu. She is a tiny bit bigger then Butt dog and they are doing great together. Like two peas in a pod. They are both seniors, 12 yrs young. Bought her a new pink collar and leash at Foster & Smith yesterday. A new bed for the van and some dog toothpaste (no doubt a waste of money since I've bought them in the past and didn't use !! lol) Took her to the vet and she weighs 20.6 lbs. Needs to weigh around 13 lbs. So guess we're all on diets (or should be anyway) lol
She's going to have to have her teeth cleaned which will cost a pretty penny but oh well.
My sister kept Aunties wiener dog. He is the one who has lymphoma. He went through chemo and was improving but then relapsed. So now he is just on prednisone and fish oil. He will probably be gone by Christmas??? It was sad separating them but my sister works and couldn't handle three dogs (she has a poodle). So Fritz has a poodle friend Harley and Dolly has Butt dog. She fit right in. You should have seen Dolly look at all of the animals around here.
One of the pigs came right up to her to sniff her out !!!! Wish I had my camera that day. lol Gosh those pigs are cute !!!!

In other news regarding the neglected horse. He is still at the ranch that where the county brought him. The owner went to court for the Pretrial conference and had it postponed until sometime in November. Something about finding board ????? So the plot thickens.Sure hope they don't give him back. As of right now she owes board @$200 a month since mid July, a farrier visit, vet visit and three wormings. ChaChing ChaChing ChaChing !!! Just think if she would have fed and watered the poor guy she wouldn't be in this predicament. Oh well.....
Cind, I would love a kitty but can't afford one.

Boy this is getting loooonnngggg.... Aren't ya all glad I'm back ??? LOL
