Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Arent you right on!!!
Good evening all!
I am very sore...I went to meet my riding buddy after work...we rode about 15 mins and wanted to cross a drainage ditch that the dogs were running in...it was sinkhole for a horse!!!! Long story short, we got out without the help of all the people I called. It was nice that they came though...they took care of the horse while I went inside and got changed and warm! He was trapped in there for nearly 2 hours and after he was out and walked 1/4 mile to the road his temp was 65!
i am so thankful that I have great friends that can come and help at the drop of a hat!
OK adrenaline is coming down...perhaps I can sleep? Good night all...

OMG, Terri. Is he going to be ok? What a terrifying experience. I hope you threw an electric blanket on the poor guy for a few hours. Poor baby!

Oh my gosh Terri! How scary! Glad you and the horse are ok! Was it one of yours or your friends horse?

Frenchie, you new kitty is adorable!

I managed to not hit any of the cows that are on the loose; apparently there are still 5 roaming the countryside......

Not much else to report here. Gearing up for turkey day.

That would not surprise me at all 10 years ago my Neighbors draft horse was shot as a deer.......... can you imagine not knowing the difference between a 2000 lb animal and a 200 lb one.....moron from Chicago..........

OMG TerriO glad everything turned out ok, but watch him close that temp is way too low..........WAYYYYYYYY like in a few more degrees he would have stroked out....Hope you had a nice warm mash and a blankey for him after you got all warmed up...... poor boy and poor you that must have been horrible scary........... I'm always afraid something like that is gonna happen, especially when I'm out alone, and no one even knows exactly where I am, they have a general idea, but where I go is 110 acre Forrest alot of land to cover when looking for someone......... Keep a close eye on him the next few days when they get that chilled lots of things can pop up from hypothermia, Phenomenon or even colic because it screws up there water intake ......and you stay safe and warm the next couple days as well,

well just wanted to check and say I'm still kicking, brain is not working well today couldn't even play cards with my GF, I feel so lost with out my hubby, wonder how long its gonna take for me to get with it again, I hope not long.......... or this next 3 weeks is gonna kill me........... night all sleep well.... Terri get some extra rest and an extra blanket ............ Kim

Chrishasalottosayandtotiredtosayit. Glad ur ok TO. BlackBrookPoultry- gotta admit, you lost me on the whole "we keep human babies alive.....why not a deer" whatchutalkinboutWillis? Had to look back 3 times for username of BBP hi Frenchie. Thanks again all, Judge and GR. Great video delish, I think he took those lungs out and then stuck em back in for the video, which reminds me, the old gray roost is dead and the other 3 also. What a fiasco. Pretty sure BBP would have me arrested for the first 2, may yet turn myself in. Last one, old Snooze, I hadda make sure and do it right (not that I didn't want to for all). Someone shoulda said VERY close to the jaw is where to cut the neck. Too bad halloween is past, bloody tether chickens wudda opened higher than paranormal activity i bet, I'm not proud but it happened and more later. I won't make the same mistake twice, not as bad as it sounds but i don't feel good about it, when all else fails, machete. Snooze died good and I'm thankful for them all. I gotta get a pic of the one roo I kept and u tell me what he is. Bad news, I put my run-on word at the beginning- Good news, I'm tired or imagine how long this wudda been. And thanks again Jim, very cool place. BTW-not cooking in the mom's milk is biblical, I'm not gonna preach bigfam, but I will say at least once that I've always thought it a shame that God is most important of all and we can' talk about Him. Politics? yea, whatever. Nite all.

More on Tamara's story; she brought a petition into work today. She is trying to get the DNR to change a new rule that requires all orphaned bear cubs and fawns to be killed. Rehabilitators are no longer allowed to help them. I believe the fawns are limited to CWD zones. They claim to have found a positive door in a neighboring county, but the deer had sat for months before they tested it. Everyone around here finds the whole thing a little fishy. If anyone wants to help put a stop to this please contact Cathy Stepp, DNR secretary.
How about starting a petition on www.change.org think that is the correct website
