I signed up for a chili cook-off at one of the local bars, the judging will be by the fire department..

normally I make nuclear waste spill hot chili, but I was asked to make it hot but edible..

There is a $100 prize for the winner and free drinks for a year at the bar..(I rarely drink, so this won't matter to me)

The chili is loaded up in my truck and I have to leave in 30 minutes...

It took me over 5 hours of preparation and cooking time to get it just the way I wanted it..Hot but edible, with my secret ingredient...


Oh, and this is the first time I have gone out in the public since my husband and I split up..So, this will be a new experience for me

I dropped off the chili and was told to come back around 1-2 the judging will take place at 3 and then there is a ho-down at 6...I may pack up and leave after the judging..I am not much of a social butterfly so staying for the ho-down is not something I want to do..
