DH is at his dad's right now and is going to ask if he minds if we put a chicken coop/run on the lot next to him that we own.

Keep your fingers crossed!!!! He grew up on a pig farm and when asked if he wanted to take over the farm, he replied no and they sold off all the acreage and barns. So now it's just the house and the lot next to it. He kinda has mixed emotions about farm life...... but I am hoping that in his mellower years now that he will give the ok

Yes, it's our property..... but it is family and he does have to live next to them
