There were many reasons it was banned and many more reasons it continues to be restricted.
It was the British who started it in the colonies.
Banning it’s never been especially effective but polluting local landraces has been. It did make me smile recently though when the Thai government legalised it and gave away 1million cbd plants, presumably in an attempt to destroy the last pure landrace on the planet. All the government plants died before flowering.
Cannabis is a critically endangered species and it won’t be long before it’s completely lost. Very sad.
The British didn’t ban it for reasons like landrace strain protection though. I suspect it was because they couldn’t figure out how to get their grubby hands on it and make big bucks without anyone else doing the same. It’s a weed that will grow anywhere.

I wholeheartedly agree. It's nice to talk about religion and whatever each and everyone believes in a calm manner
I don't know much about religion, i grew up very non religous and taught that it's all fake and such by my dad, but i know these topics get very controversial. I've seen people argue about it before and it's not pretty, seeing these calm and mature discussions is so relaxing!

I'm lurking through these posts. I just found you this AM. This seems so similar to the practice of an ofrenda, which is fairly common and practiced in Mexican culture relating to el Día de los Muertos. I think studying your family and the history is great to learn about your roots and having ideas of how to progress, if that's your thing.

I'm not sure that I'm a witch by any means, but I very much believe in the power of intent and positivity. I believe in the power of your internal thoughts. So I try to keep positive self talk and positive goals in mind as much as possible.
IE: "I'm staying healthy and happy." Vs. "I don't want to get sick." I keep my thoughts on the positive spins of healthy and happy.
I keep my thoughts realistic and goals progressing but attainable.

Yeah! Samhain and el Dia de los Muertos is really similair,
It's all about dead ancestors and your roots, helgonasdag is basically the samhain/dia de los muertos of my country :) They all fall on the same days and or very closely

I don't know much about my roots or ancestors, so it'll be an exciting start

hah no worries!!
walmart seems like heaven - and target,
you guys just have everything there lol
Lemme warn you about walmarts - they all have some weird time loop built in them.... You go in for a few things and next thing you know, it's 3 hours later and your basket is overflowing with "what did I buy?" 😱🤣
