I think they’re a type of Syrian hamster but long haired. There’s also the short haired Syrian.

Hamsters are terrible pets lol especially for children. Gerbils are better for kids just FYI parents lol

I did and they bit me and escaped all the time my mom got rid of them

I had lots of fancy mice when I was in middle school. Golden's, pied both brown and black, lavender or blue not sure witch because its hard to remember them all. I got to keep them because I did science fair stuff with them. Much to my dads chagrin. LOL. It was just how mice learn to get around and find stuff.
