most of the witchcraft I've done was with my fiber arts, and since I have yet to pick that back up again this entire year, I was wondering what sorts of things ya'll use? Crystals never really clicked for me, and I can't really think of anything else

Hello witchy friends! 🖤

I use crystals, bones, feathers and fossils! I’m particularly connected to the latter and have quite the collection. I’ve tried tarot cards but never really connected with any one deck, so it’s not something I use or have any interest in at the moment.

Hi everyone! A lurker here being less creepy and saying hi🤣 Not technically a witch although my heavily religious family is convinced I was born a witch (no I am not joking and yes it is still 2024 not the 1600’s lol). There is a lot of family lore which has been confirmed by historians regarding my family. Several ancestors accused of being witches or being described as having unnatural abilities. Coincidently none were ever executed for being a witch because they would escape, disappear or everyone in their town was too afraid of them. On the TV show Salem, John Alden was actually a real historical figure and one of my ancestors as well. As a result my family over the past couple generations became heavily religious (and I mean old school religious) to “make amends”. According to my mother when I was born she saw a woman at the hospital standing by my crib holding some sort of pendant over me while whispering a chant. I’m pretty sure she was just on the good drugs. It did not help that when I was a kid I was always playing in the woods by myself teaching myself how to identity the vegetation (I would walk around with a backpack filled with encyclopedias and nature guides). One day my mother came to get me for dinner. She said she saw a wild buck walk right up to me just a couple feet away, snort and then he apparently just walked away. My ancestors crest was a Stag so that really freaked her out. Then when I was 10 I told my dad that I could make a stick grow. He told me to put it out of the way so he didn’t have to mow around it. It actually ended up growing into a huge white pine tree. My dad was afraid to even go near it and it did not help that a couple months after I moved out the tree started turning brown. My dad called me last year asking permission to cut it down because he was afraid to touch the tree, but it was starting to lean because it had died. It took everything in me not to burst out laughing because he never calls me (not even on my birthday), but only called because he was afraid of a tree. I have always had a very green thumb and love trees (especially planting them) so I didn’t see anything supernatural about it, but my family still thinks that I am cursed. I think they are just crazy. My dad actually took all of my books when I was 16 and burnt them. He said God told him that I was evil, communicating with the devil and to burn my books because they were bringing evil into the house. All of my books were philosophy, physics, natural sciences, encyclopedias etc. I am a huge anything science nerd. Yes again the year is still 2024. So now I live on the other side of the country and avoid religious people because honestly they scare me after living with my crazy family😅
