I'm having a brain fart. Do I withhold feed for 24 hours before processing? It's been a couple of years since I did meat birds, and I'm paying someone to process this batch so I've just been going about my business... but then tonight as I pulled the feed away, there was this tickling in the back of my brain that I might not be feeding them again. Their date with destiny is 8am Monday morning.

Thanks!

I withhold feed overnight, so about 12 hours. There is usually very little in their intestines and crop after 12 hours.

I would feed them tomorrow in the morning, and then stop.

Sorry, I'm confused. Withhold feed 12 hours, or 24? They will be processed on Monday morning so if I feed them tomorrow morning and stop that's a lot closer to 24 hours.

I just harvested 6 birds this week. Stopped feeding 8pm the night before and harvested around 10am the next day. Nothing in the crop or intestines.

Awesome, thanks. I'll pull their feed this evening, since their appointment with the processor is 8:30 am Monday morning. Appreciate your help!
