No, chick grit won't hurt chicks. It's made for chicks, and they'd be picking up grit anyway if they were running around outside.

Vitamin deficiency...went through this just a few weeks ago, got real bad.
Start with drops of save a chick until she feels she can swallow again, she will start drinking soon.

Gently place a drop of the sav-a-chick in her beak, wait for her to swallow, repeat. One drop at a time, don't try to syringe it down her throat or you could choke her.

No, grit will not hurt her, she needs that in order to process anything besides chick starter. I provide grit first thing for my babies.

If she won't eat/drink, then you may need to syringe fluids into her or drip it beside her beak. A wetted qtip pressed against the beak to get liquids into her will work as well.

If she won't eat the egg, dissolve the b vitamins in a little water and sryinge that into her.
