Wobbly chick. Weak, Nurological, or something else?

Looking back my chick was about 4 weeks when he started showing symptoms. I hope you can figure out what's going on with yours.

When my mother was raising tons of chicks by herself to raise her own flocks continuously some of them every so often (like one or two every 3rd incubating) had this condition, and I believe that they were just a little slow to get a hang on to their co-ordinance, after a while they grew out of it and began walking normally just like all the other chickens. A couple however didn't and always walked slightly wobbly, but still fully capable.
Then there were those rare few that you /know/ that there was something wrong with it and showed no improvement. Although this is not necessarily the situation with your chic I just wanted to try n' shed some light of hope for you..

Maybe some soft high protein and nutrient rich tasty food will be more appealing and encourage them to eat more? It might help get their strength up and give them the energy they need, and moist food could help keep the lil one hydrated.

It is most likely too early to have signs of Marek's.
I think I would make sure she keeps eating and drinking. Maybe make a real wet mash and hold her up to it.

Yes been giving him wet food and water. Maybe be geting some down but not enough for me to be satisfied. Boiled eggs? I heard that. He was born I think two days early he had a tiny bit of sack still. I mean tiny. Not big like I seen in pix here. He has improved since birth but I really want to see him eat and drink. The wobbly I can deal with. Not him not eating or drinking.

When u say cull. Did you mean kill? Gosh no way!

how is your chick now? Mine still hasn't ate drank really. How bout yours. What do you suggest.

Cull usually means kill.

I think that everyone's different and many need to be satisfied that they have done all they can.
Some people may suggest treating for coccidiosis but that's if you think she's sick. Preemies are very fragile and sometimes they just don't have what's necessary to stay alive. But in the meantime, I personally would continue to offer mush and water and perhaps vitamins every few hours.

My chick has gotten a little better as far as balance. But she is extremely sleepy and won't eat on her own. I've only been able to get liquid in her b/c she won't eat any food I offer. Wet, dry, nothing. I put some molasses in her vitamin water and she perked up for a few hours yesterday. But has gotten lethargic since then. I'm not sure about continuing to give her molasses b/c I don't want to give her diarrhea. After the molasses water, she perked up and was very active and walking around good. Just can't keep her awake and interested in food.

Me either. I try also. Not molasses tho I don't have that. I may try mashed cooked egg yoke or and banana. Today I got a new baby so I out them together today. I am hoping it will encourage him.

Aww I hope that helps. I think I will use my blender and blend a boiled egg yolk, banana and some vitamin/electrolyte water. That should liquify enough for me to be able to syringe feed it to her. Thanks for the food suggestions. If she would just eat and drink on her own, I think she'd be fine. For now, I'll try to get her stronger by feeding her myself.
