Thank you for the add! I am new to this chicken thing. After living in Newport New, Virginia for 30 years, my husband and I just bought a home in Norton, Ohio. It has enough property for all my hobbies!! As we refurbish the 1928 home, we have been saving materials to build our coop. I also just transitioned from classroom teaching to an online teaching position. I only have to go into my office 2 days a week!! I also have an online store selling a hodge podge of items but mainly vintage things. Thanks again!!

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us and congrats on the move and the new job :)

Here’s a link to the Articles section - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/ There you’ll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping chickens - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs.

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

All the best

Hi and welcome to BYC Going from Virginia to Ohio has that been a big change for you? I love old home and being able to see what came be made of them now days. They is so much history behind them if the walls could only talk. What is the neatest thing you found there either on the property or in the house itself?
