Okay, so two days ago, I found this honker egg in a nest box. It was 3.35 ozs. - it's only the second huge egg I've gotten, the first of which was a week ago. My pullets are about 7 months old. I'm wondering if they begin to lay wombos once in awile aroudn this age, or is it, perhaps, a result of the daylight hours being shorter and the temperature being colder? I'm just curious.
