WOMBO egg - questions (PICS)

Let us know when you open it, how many yolks...

That is ONE BIG EGG! I think you'd need Horton the Elephant to hatch out that one!

And...wombo? Are you a Spongebob fan??

I'm sure hoping it's a double yolker! It's only my second really wombo one, and the first was a single yolker. I was shocked! It was a HUGE yolk, but only one. This will be my first double yolker, if that's for sure what it is! How fun is THIS?

My great dane has never laid one that big

That's a omlette all by itself. WOW!

As far as weighing, I'm new at this chicken stuff, so I weigh them all. Just to see if they are increasing size. Still my double yokers have never weight that.

Spongebob? Uh....you've lost me here. Sounds like a cartoon...I'm kidless, so I'm not tuned into the comic scene - sorry! I think my brother (who DOES have kids) says "wombo" a lot! Must have picked it up from him!

Horton! I DO remember him!

Does anyone else weigh their eggs? This one was 3.35 ozs., and I'm wondering if that TRULY is wombo, or just wombo by MY definition?

Thats a whole MONTH of egg in my house! we only have bantams laying - seriously thats a MONTH worth of egg right there!

Check that chicken can still WALK!

Yep - it was a double yolker. My first ever - and, 2 days later, I had one that was even bigger at 3.4 ozs. That, too, was a double yolker. I can't believe you had a 3.5 oz. that wasn't a double, Cyn!

It was odd how the yolks were sort of...attached. Kind of funky. But, that sure didn't stop us from eating them!

It's so nice to have a place to share these little things to folks that really understand...I'm so glad I found BYC!
