Yes, and he is funny and compassionate. Plus he sounds as if he really loves his wife. He is an all around good guy.

Round here EVERYONE has a Southern accent, so mine's not that special. But all my Yankee friends of recent months seem to be facinated by it and YES y'all make me blush.

Like now.

Blushing only makes you look sweeter.

Thanks, Deb!

I'm fair-skinned, too, so it's painfully obvious when I'm blushing!

I say thank you and if it's about clothes I usually say where I got them, or that I wish I had another pair like them, or something along those lines. I dunno what else to say, it kinda makes me feel awkward!
I'm not good at giving complements either

During college I worked for the Southwestern Company out of Nashville, TN selling books door to door during the summer months.

If you could actually get in a door, we were taught that we should always compliment them on something in the house.

I got into one trashy house one time and all I could think of to say was, "Gee, for a fat lady, you sure don't sweat much".

Didn't make a sale.

I don't think that is bad at all. If a person is giving you a sincere compliment on your clothing then they might want to know where you got the dress. I think that you are handling it appropriately. Just remember to say thank you also. As long as you aren't arguing with the other person, then you are all right.
