Women in the military

I feel if you are capable of fulfilling all the requirements of the job then you should be allowed to do it regardless of your gender. With that being said not all women are capable and neither are all men, so does that mean you should not allow men in the military because some of them can't do the job? Of course not.

to further that statement, which I am about to take and run with, if men are so weak minded that are that easily distracted by a "female" near their zip code, maybe men shouldn't be in the military.w e don't want easily distracted weak minded people protecting us.

Maybe our military should be all women, after all women are use to multitasking, chasing children running households, balancing work, school, life, and in developing nations running households, children, and keeping an eye out for danger without the aid of modern time saving technology and medicine.

plus science has proven women's brains process pain differently and we actually feel pain LESS than men. So that makes us better at withstanding torture right there.

see? People can come up with rationalizations to keep any group out of the military they want.

Thanks for writing that out for me. I couldn't have said it any better. For the record, I am a 20 year U. S. Navy veteran, now retired at Commander.

for you too.

I am a civi, I worked for the Cdn National Defence. I think if woman want to serve then they should. I also believe that there should be no restriction as to what a woman can do in the military, be it being Spec. Ops, a paratrooper, anything at all.

There have also been studies that show women would make better fighter pilots

Let's not forget that it was first women who were trained as ninjas... wasn't until later that men were considered capable of handling that level of melee with finesse.

I feel that if the military is going to let women in, they should have to meet the same requirements. Same pushups, same running times. They don't currently have to, which means that the women are generally slower, less strong, and i feel that puts them at a disadvantage. Colleges don't give women a sliding scale, jobs don't say that women only have to type 50 wpm, when men have to do 75wpm. If a woman can do the SAME exact job as a man, and is as strong, and fast, and well trained, I'd be glad to have her at my husband's back (or him at hers) when he's at war.
