No polling or research here, just good, old-fashioned conversation.

No need for criteria.

Your original post indicated you were writing 2 papers and doing research. So I was responding to that in an effort to help you. Now that you have changed the reason I look kinda like a jerk......................

But I still believe for my own curiosity and for others reading this it would help to put your qualifiers down.

Sorry! I guess I just wasn't clear enough to begin with. And I didn't perceive you as being a jerk, I understood what you meant.

That is sad that you believe that. Remeber you said that is in your head. I never said your thoughts or opinions don't matter.

Not always..depends on what your job in the military is... they can make things difficult for you. I knew a girl that had a hell of a time with them when she got preggo...

I was referring to the quality of someone (a male) giving his opinion on giving birth as compared to a woman who has gave birth. My opinion would not have much merit.Certainly not equal.

Well thanks for that reassurance

Now I am back to happy!

Well not getting pregnat should be the idea. If it's not, they shouldn't be doing whatever job they were doing that made that akward.

On the male opinion of giving birth.. I think compared to this subject it should be more like "Do you think women should give birth".
I think most people would agree on 'Yes'.. male and female alike. If you were aiming more towards a pain perspective, I'm sure after being around a few births, a male has a fairly good idea of what's involved.

The presence of a logical fallacy in an argument does not necessarily imply anything about the argument's premises or its conclusion.

Slippery slope is a terrible logical fallacy, my friend.

Actually I was thinking more along the line that if they were not there to begin with than pregnancy would not be an issue. As long as there are men and women in close company pregnancy is an issue. If the military wants that issue and to deal with it then they should keep them together. I remember not too long ago that the city of Portland Or. would allow prostitutes to work when the navy ships visited during Rose Festival of course that was before women were prominent in the military, it was also a mutual agreement between the city and the navy.
