My 10 year old blue andalusian has been having messy poops that stick to the feathers easily. You can hear it come out and it's one big moist pile. Sorry TMI Lol

I was feeding her scratch and peck grower feed for a while and am now feeding her purina flock raiser maybe a month. Even if I put them out together she has been going for the purina flock raiser feed. I also give oyster shell free choice.

I don't feed her layer feed because she hasn't laid an egg in about 10 months and it was shell-less.

Why are her poops like this and what can I do to firm them up?

Is the poop a different color than normal, or is there any blood in it?
I hate to be gross, but can you post a picture of her poops?

At 10 years old, it might not have anything whatsoever to do with her feed. Her systems may be failing due to age.

If you do change feed, it *might* be a good idea to try chick starter to give her the maximum nutrition in an easy form -- but I would be reluctant to change anything for an old lady like that who may be thoroughly set in her ways and if I did it I would do it very gradually.
