Yeah that is exactly what I was thinking I was going to do. Cross a nicely bred barred rock with a pheniox. It would take some work but I think that I could develope a nice hackle that in turn I could use to get different colors and what not. The trick is finding someone that either has the eggs or sells chicks.
Chris you have been a ton of help to me and I appericate all your help. To everyone else thank you as well, I would have no idea where to start if I wouldnt have gotten the help from you all. Thanks. Also if you have any more suggestions please let me know. If you know of other leads to nice stock I would love to know that as well. It will be a bit before Iget started due to me wanting to get more familuar with my incubator but hopefully before fall I will have something to play with all winter. I hope.
