wondering what when wrong

I have good hatches by keeping my humidity at 55% and the temperature 99.5-100* Fahrenheit the first 18 days. For the last three days, I start the humidity in the 60's % and let it rise to whatever once hatching begins.

Ok so what should the himidity be for the first 18 days? So at lock down if I just added a bunch of water and started around 60 percent and then just forgot about it then I would be ok? Ill have to see if I can round up some more eggs and try to work it out. I really want to get some turkeys with the next hatch and start them a week early so that I can put chicken eggs in and have them hatch together. Is the humidity for turkeys and chickens the same?

hey, I saw your post on the pheasant page. Good luck.

For pheasant eggs (golden) mine went 23/24 days and the humidity was supposed to be 50 percent for the first 21 days and then 65.

cool, thanks, I am unsure what my pheasants are going to be because the guy that had them orders all different kinds for hunting and I just got a dozen that he happend to pick up and bring to me. he said no garentees on what I am getting but I firgured that it doesnt matter for what I paid and for the first time incubating. Thanks for the great advice. My pheasant eggs are on day13 so we will see what happens in the next while.
