Won't Eat Treats?

They are the dried meal worms from TSC. I can't find live ones around here (and I'm sort of squeamish). I have thought about getting them a couple live crickets from the bait shop...

If you toss them some every once in a while, they'll all eventually try 'em and like 'em. They don't have to be live mealies. You have to be repetitive about it so that they learn what it is you're offering them.

Dried are as good as live. I started out with dry, buying several large containers 2 winters ago. Girls LOVE them. Then I started raising mealies a year ago. I still have some dried on hand...just in case. They really don't care if they are alive, dead or dried.

My three chicks (2 Lavender Orpingtons and 1 barred rock), turned their nose up at eating their treats from the ground or a different bowl. I had to tear three mealworms into three pieces and set them in their regular feed bowl before they would eat them. They even started a mini fight to the feeder to get their mealworms
