Wood ash ?

How do you prepare wood ash for the hens to dust bathe in? Thanks

I just mix mine with sand and a little DE and put it in their SPA for dust bathing.

I think I mix maybe 5parts sand to one part ash

I also try to only use ash that came from natural wood fires. No pressure treated, no painted or finished wood, no plastics or garbage ash.

I sort of mix mine? Basically just put it in their favourite dusting area and let them at it.

I also mix mine. I take a bucket of dirt and a bucket of wood ash into their run along with some dried herbs and mix the lot together.
